RoadTrak sets a new standard in Road Maintenance Software
Forsite Consultants Ltd. introduces RoadTrak, a breakthrough software product for road maintenance management.
Forsite Consultants Ltd. officially unveiled their new road management software,RoadTrak, at the U.S.D.A. Forest Service Travel Routes User Board meeting in Hot Springs, Arkansas today.
The USDA Forest Service is evaluating the software through San Dimas Technology and Development Center. Early next year, the software will be tested at three National Forests: Region 5, the Tahoe N.F. in California, Region 3, the Prescott N.F. in Arizona, and Region 8, the Francis Marion-Sumter N.F. in South Carolina.
RoadTrak is a Road Management and Tracking System designed by engineering and technology staffs to simplify, streamline and standardize the tracking of resource information associated with roads or any other linear feature.
RoadTrak displays and schedules obligations, critical dates, and assigns road maintenance responsibilities. RoadTrak controls costs by comparing bid prices on work items and equipment from multiple contractors. Actual costs are recorded, creating a historical record of contractor activities. Productivity reports generate comparisons of budgets to actual costs. RoadTrak utilizes dynamic segmentation architecture to allow seamless integration to GIS mapping systems.
Powerful new batch filtering technology was developed specifically for RoadTrak, to facilitate fast searches through complex data on thousands of miles of roads. The application also exchanges data with the Forest Service Engineering Database, Infra.
Forsite Consultants Ltd. is a privately owned Canadian company who has been providing resource management solutions since 1987.
