     Roxanna O'Connor began designing jewelry for herself five years ago. "I wanted something that alluded to the BDSM lifestyle covertly enough it could be worn in public," O'Connor says, adding "No one outside this lifestyle knows that 'safe, sane, and consensual' is the credo of the BDSM scene. They think we're into pain and torture, which we're not." In fact, O'Connor says, her website and most others she knows of are rated G. "A child can go to my site without being subjected to anything of an objectionable nature."

    It wasn't long before O'Connor's friends were admiring her artistic renditions. "They'd look at one of my original pieces and ask if I could make one like it for them. The next logical
step was producing them for the market."

    The market turned out to be big. Today, O'Connor devotes all her time producing everything from rings to necklaces with bracelets and anklets tossed in along with collars and earrings. "The harem set is simply spectacular," O'Connor says. She currently has hundreds of
