SEMINAR HELPS COMPANIES PREPARE TO MEET INVESTORS --WITHOUT SPENDING BIG DOLLARS

The seminar teaches participants the key elements needed in investor presentations and gives techniques on how to conduct free research.

Sunnyvale, CA December 4, 2002 -- Funding for companies with ideas written on napkins, with no signs of EVER breaking even and reckless use of past funding is a thing of the past. The good news is that there are still funding opportunities available for companies. Nationally, venture capitalists invested $4.5 billion in US companies during the third quarter. Bay Area companies received more than twice as much as any other region, $1.4 billion (Source: Money Tree Survey). But what if you do have a good idea and have looked at the opportunities and would like to present to investors, what then?

One local entrepreneur, Dustin Dumas, founder of ForeSight Consulting, www.ForeSightConsult.com, has created a seminar on investor funding that answers this question. The class is based on my experience in international investment banking and working with both private and public companies. I have seen what works and what doesnt work in receiving funding," says Dumas.

The seminar teaches participants the key elements needed in investor presentations and gives techniques on how to conduct free research. The point is that a successful investor presentation can bring in funding and a poor presentation can make it close to impossible to ever receive funding. Preparation is the key to a successful investor presentation.

I am surprised at how many people think that they can present to a potential investor and expect money within 60 days or less," says Dumas. Many of these companies have not done any research, do not understand their companys industry or the funding process and still expect to receive funding. There are many good companies out there but when they come ill prepared to investor meetings, their credibility is diminished significantly."

The Right Presentation for the Right Investor seminar, which is $50 per participant, will be presented in Sunnyvale, California. The seminar is aimed at people who want to understand the funding process and what must be included in these seminars. From first round to tenth round funding, youll leave the seminar with ammunition you need to put together a successful presentation that wows investors to fund your business!
