Heartfelt Book Benefits County Hospital.

LAC+USC Heart Patient Writes Book During Recovery.

Los Angeles: Children's book author J.T. Cummins will visit LAC+USC Medical Center, December 17, 2002 to sign copies of his book and raise funds for the hospital's health scholarship program. A recent heart patient at LAC+USC, Cummins authored and illustrated "Good Things To Share," a whimsical picture book about sharing while recuperating from his surgery. "LAC+USC was there for me when I needed help," confides Cummins, now fully recovered, "In my own small way, this is my attempt to say, 'thank you.'"

After visits to the Children's Ward and Cardiology Department, the Author will autograph his book from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the hospital's main cafeteria. Half of all proceeds raised at the signing will be donated to LAC+USC Medical Center-HFC Scholarship. The event is free and open to the public. Copies of "Good Things To share" will be available for purchase at the signing for $10.00 (cash or check).

LAC+USC is located at 1200 North State Street in Los Angeles. If you require further information, please call (323) 874-8809 or visit www.littledoodle.com.
