"Festival of Light" Performance by Abraham Lincoln School in Upper Manhattan
A Winter Holiday festival of lights and music performed by children and parents of Abraham Lincoln School will take place at 5 PM on December 9 at St. Ignatius Wallace Hall at 890 Park Avenue. The event blends traditions -- Christmas, Hannukkah, Russian, Indian, Netherlands and Indian that typify the school and New York's multicultural heritage.

WHY: The Festival of Light" performance is a colorful holiday ceremony of lighted candles and music performed by children and parents from Abraham Lincoln Elementary and Middle School an independent school. The program blends various winter holiday traditions reflecting the multicultural heritage of the school and of New York including: Christmas, Indian, Hannukah, Islam, Netherlands and Russian traditions.
News organizations or educational publications can obtain excellent holiday stills or footage by arriving in time for the 5 PM start and the first half hour when the passing of the light of the different traditions occurs.
