Award winning product design graduate, John Biddleston, has started up a Product Design Consultancy after gaining a 1st Class Honours Degree at Coventry University.

Let me introduce myself. My name is John Biddleston and I am an entrepreneur. I left university after studying BSc/MDes in Industrial Design, and gaining a 1st Class Masters degree in this subject. At 24 years of age, I have already designed several products that are in the shops now - you might even have used one - hope you enjoyed it!

I can design products for you, and what is more, based around your requirements and needs. A little idea can be made in the hands of a genius. I have worked with top companies, and found them to be restrictive to creativity - its no easy task I can tell you.

I have designed products that are now in B&Q, City Electrical Factors and have worked on projects for companies as diverse as MG Rover Cars and Lego in Billund, Denmark. In 2001 I met Judith Hann from BBC's Tomorrows World and demonstrated a toy invention which allows a new kind of musical interaction for children. I have also designed several children's toys including one for a client in Minneapolis USA. Also I have presented ideas to the Minister of Agriculture with designs made for an agricultural research institute.

I want to offer my skills to anyone, from CEO to postman (Yes, I did work as a postman for a while). I want to take a product to market and undercut the larger companies, to make a more competitive environment and to offer the consumer choice and an independent viewpoint. My business style is about honesty and sheer hard work, its a tricky business, and we all get ripped off sometimes.
