Test Servlets price drops and WebTest is available for free.
BRONX, NY. December 11, 2002 Science Academy Software, a developer of educational software, announced today a 50% price reduction on Test Servlets, the Java(TM) servlet software for browser-based testing and assessment for K-12 Education and Occupational Training.
In an effort to gain greater acceptance by the educational community, Science Academy Software is making WebTest©, a text formatting tool for Test Servlets, available for free.
Test Servlets present questions individually or aggregately, track students as they take tests (session tracking), and support user-defined images and sound on IE4.0 or later. Test Servlets measure and display results. Results can be saved, printed, or emailed for further review--a benefit for learners, teachers, testing and training organizations, distance and homeschool learners.
Test Servlets run on a variety of Java Web servers supporting the Java(TM) Servlet Specification 2.2 or later. The servlet strategy complements existing and newer web-based instruction, overcomes most common technical barriers to platform independence (PC or Mac). This servlet strategy provides numerous benefits that include security and scaleability.
WebTest is an authoring tool for creating browser-based fill-In, true/false, and multiple-choice test questions. WebTest has a simple user interface for creating test files that are read by the servlets. WebTest also creates the HTML for executing the servlets to support multiple tests.
