Whitinsville.com Re-Launches New Design of Web Site in Order to Provide Residents of Northbridge with Valuable Information.

NORTHBRIDGE, December 10, 2002 Whitinsvile.com is a private, citizen-run website devoted to providing residents of Northbridge, Massachusetts valuable news and information that was previously unavailable or was located in too numerous of locations. Whitinsville.com (www.whitinsville.com) has re-launched the website with a new design, updated information and photos. The site now incorporates an area event calendar and allows citizens and/or local organizations to self-submit their events. This is providing many organizations such as churches, student groups and civis organizations an excellent opportunity to increase attendance with no cost to the organization. The site also offers links to area safety and security organizations and even allows citizens to anonymously report suspected criminal behavior in an attempt to keep Northbridge safe during these trying times in our nations history.

Whitinsville.com has been active since 1998. It is a private, citizen created site that is maintained by area resident, David St.Martin. The site has no official affiliation with the town and any views expressed on the site do not necessarily represent those of Mr. St.Martin, town officials or the citizens of Northbridge. Mr. St.Martin has lived in Northbridge for over 30 years and has previously sat on the towns Personnel Board. He also ran for Selectman in 1999 and 2002. In October of 2002, unique website hits were at an all time high of over 1000 per month and proves only to increase. The sites success is based upon citizens input and usage.
