MADELEINE G. THAL JOINS APPLIED PSYCHOLOGICAL TECHNIQUES, INC. AS SALES DIRECTOR

Darien, CT, December 10, 2002 -- Applied Psychological Techniques, Inc. (APT) announced that Madeleine G. Thal has joined the firm as sales director.

Ms. Thal has over 12 years of experience in account and customer relationship management.
As APTs sales director she is responsible for driving sales in support of APT's Human Resource consulting services and Web-based workforce management products.

Prior to joining APT, Ms. Thal served as associate director of corporate relations for The Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk, CT, where she developed and managed the organization's corporate relationship and fundraising programs.

Prior to working in the not-for-profit world, Ms. Thal worked in the high tech industry for over seven years in the areas of account management, product management, and business develop-ment. Her background also includes experience in account management in the advertising and banking industries.

Ms. Thal received her B.A. in Communications from Western Connecticut State University and is active with the Southwestern Area Commerce and Industry Association (SACIA), Women in Management (WIM), the Stamford Chamber of Commerce, and the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce. She also a member of the advisory board for the Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Partnership, Inc. (www.cqia.org).
