HEFFERN AWARDS ADVERTISING ACCOUNT TO ARNOLD WORLDWIDE-ST.LOUIS

Agency Developing New Creative Campaign for St. Louis Retail Jeweler Established in 1913

December 15, 2002, St. Louis, Missouri ... Elleard B. Heffern Fine Jewelers, an upscale retailer known for its fine jewels, rare gems and discriminating clientele since 1913, has engaged Arnold Worldwide-St. Louis to develop a new integrated marketing program for launch in 2003.

Arnold Worldwide-St. Louis, a full service advertising company, also is managing this year's holiday season direct mail and print advertising for Elleard B. Heffern, which offers an exclusive collection of fine jewelry from both world-renowned designers and smaller, specialized artisans, as well as custom-designed pieces.

"We are proud to be associated with one of St. Louis' finest stores," said Les Diveley, president of Arnold Worldwide-St. Louis.

Arnold Worldwide-St. Louis will create and manage a 2003 marketing campaign for Elleard B. Heffern that integrates high-image direct mail, print and radio advertising befitting the jeweler's reputation for exceptional service, high quality and design expertise. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Originally known as Heffern-Neuhoff and located on Locust Street in downtown St. Louis, Elleard B. Heffern is distinguished by its historic reputation for rare gems and selective buyers, among them a new generation of young people and many prominent families. Elleard B. Heffern is now located in the lobby of Interco Tower at 101 South Hanley Road in Clayton.

Arnold Worldwide-St. Louis won a coveted Gold Award in the 2002 National ADDY Awards competition hosted by the American Advertising Federation (AAF) for creative work the agency produced for client Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey. Arnold Worldwide-St. Louis also creates communications programs for Glenmorangie Single Malt Scotch; Sears Portrait Studio; Southern Comfort; and other leading products and services.

Arnold Worldwide is owned by Paris-based Havas. The $2 billion agency network has four full service offices in the U.S., including its Boston headquarters, New York City, Washington D.C. and St. Louis, and has won the Grand Prix Award at the International Festival in Cannes, plus numerous Clios, EFFIEs, Obies and One Show awards.
