TI Automotive has named Shigeki Miyajima president of TI Automotive, Japan.

WARREN, Mich. -- TI Automotive has named Shigeki Miyajima president of TI Automotive, Japan.

Miyajima will be responsible for directing TI Automotives growing business in the Japanese market. Based in Yokohama, he will report to Clive Kellett, business strategy director for Europe and Asia Pacific.

   Miyajima joined TI Automotive in April 2002, after serving as a consultant for the companys Asia Pacific business. He was previously president of TRW Steering Systems subsidiary in Japan. Before joining TRW, he was a member of the board of directors of Ikeda Bussan Co., a major manufacturer of automobile seat and interior trim parts.

Earlier, he served in key executive positions at Nissan, including general manager of the companys overseas design department, director of its design and development division, and manager of the product strategy and planning office.

Miyajima holds a bachelors of science degree in mechanical engineering and a masters degree in international marketing. He is married and has three children.
