Designer flat panel monitor manufacturer, Eyegonomic Screens (UK) Limited, have announced the lauch of their latest product - the X15. The X15 is a beautifully designed 15 inch TFT with a toughened glass screen and steel body and base.

The release of the new Eyegonomic X15 TFT is set to make waves in the UK flat screen market place.

The X15 has been developed to introduce a design orientated and ergonomically correct TFT to the market as a viable alternative to the standard plastic alternatives.

The X15 was designed in Copenhagen by a team of top Danish designers. They succeeded in developing a product that is as flexible as it is beautiful.

Kristian Krøyer, Eyegonomic designer points out The goal of the development has been to design and manufacture a screen that satisfies corporate requirements for a modern work space. Its about time, that the screen adjusts to the users needs and not the other way around. Our screens are in flexibility more like a book than a traditional screen. A static screen is the source of bad ergonomics, we think about the users welfare as a unity. X15 has been thoroughly designed, and it has an appealing backside that does not hurt the eye. The X15 is therefore attractive for open office landscapes and Point of Sale environments."

Eyegonomic have adapted the latest advancements in flat panel technology to achieve a screen thickness of no more than one inch. The patented hinged stand means that the X15 is freely height adjustable. Choose between hovering just above the desktop to an impressive 36 cm from the top of the screen to the desk, as well as being able to tilt 0-75 degrees backwards.

It's not only the typically crisp Danish design and the ergonomics that impress but also the stunning picture quality. The special anti glare treated glass front enhances picture quality and provides protection for the TFT-panel. This glass screen not only increases the robustness of the product but also allows viewing in direct sunlight.

The high contrast of 300:1 and brightness of 250 cd/m2 makes the graphics appear crisp and clear while it still is comfortable to use for a full days work. The extremely short response time of 5 ms to switch the pixels on and 20 ms to switch it off again makes moving graphics a joy to look at.

In typically innovative style, Eyegonomic have replaced the buttons that one would expect to use for adjustments with a touch sensitive membrane imbedded into the front glass screen. Simply swiping ones finger along the front of the screen will prompt the on screen menu to slide into view.

Perhaps the most startling feature of the X15 is the ability to personalise the screen - even for orders of a single unit. Eyegonomic offer each client the ability to have their name or logo laser etched into the front glass. This not only personalises the monitor but also acts as a useful anti-theft measure.
