Toshiba IT-Solutions Corporation partners with Fiorano Software Inc. to accelerate its EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) business in Japan.

Kawasaki, Japan -- December 13th, 2002 - Toshiba IT-Solutions Corporation today announced partnership with Fiorano Software Inc. to accelerate its EAI (Enterprise Application Integration) business in Japan.

Intense competition among today's enterprises coupled with rapidly growing customers' needs drive the need for real-time information sharing through seamless application integration. Today, application integration requires both business process automation and highly collaborative integration of data, which expand its scope beyond one company to multiple enterprises. According to a recent study done by IDC, enterprises are spending 30% of their total IT budget just to integrate their applications. Thus, it becomes extremely important to implement systems rapidly, flexibly and with a low TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).

Toshiba IT-Solutions Corporation (hereinafter the Company) has decided to expand its solutions business by collaborating with Fiorano Software's (hereinafter Fiorano) EAI product called "Tifosi" to fulfill its customers' needs for flexible and agile business process integration both within and beyond the enterprises. The Company will provide complete solutions, based on its hands on business experience in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), CRM (Customer Relationship Management), and other high-end IT technologies, such as messaging, process integration using XML (Extensible Markup Language) and B2B.
