Dear Editor,
Because of the "epidemic" of obesity with kids everywhere (along with Type II Diabetes, high blood pressure and more), Dr. Kim Gebrosky has created a 3-D animated CD-ROM game to help kids learn about nutrition and fitness. It is called Nutrition and Kids Adventures." The game has received endorsements from all over the country, such as the Mayor of Philadelphia's Health and Fitness Czar, Gwen Foster, Congresswoman Mary Bono, and Senator Frist in Washington.
Your newspaper has the potential to reach thousands and thousands of kids who are well on their way to becoming obese, many of whom have no idea why they are gaining weight.
In addition to educating kids on how to become healthier through nutrition, the CD game provides schools and other organizations with a great fund-raising tool. The school or other organization receives $5.00 for each CD sold (CDs are $19.95) -- And they dont have to wait for a check -- they deduct their profit before sending in the proceeds.
The game covers a number of different levels and kids must maneuver through each section before proceeding to the next level. According to their age group, they have to pass a final exam given by "The Professor." When they pass the test, they obtain passage into a "secret room."
We have created excitement around a game with positive educational material (non-violent) where children have fun and learn something good about health and fitness at the same time.
