MNet, a "Do-it-yourself" SMS and MMS messaging solution

MixMobile Oy announces a new kind of messaging solution, called MNet. With MNet any enterprise can create and maintain their own text- or multimedia-messaging services. It utilises the familiar hosting-concept from Internet.

Vantaa, Dec 16, 2002: MixMobile Oy announced today the availability of MNet Mobile Hosting -concept to the international markets. MNet is a WWW-system, where enterprises and individuals can create and maintain their own mobile services. A system for Finnish market has been in operation since 2.12.2002 in address www.mnetti.com. Main customers for the MNet-system itself are Internet Service Providers.

MNet includes easy to use wizards for the creation of text- and multimedia-messaging services. An enterprise end customer can choose the price for its service of preselected price categories. Major share of the revenues generated by the services is given to the enterprise. This makes MNet-system easily a significant revenue generator for its user corporations.

End customers are using MNet for voting, for receiving product orders and marketing material requests, for entertainment services, and for informations services such as asking lunch menus of restaurants.

Individual private users do not get their share of service revenues as cash, instead they are given more credit to their personal message account.

According to Mixmobile this is the first time in the world that anybody can create MMS-services, which are ordered by premium priced text-messages.

MixMobile CEO Jukka Väyrynen: MNet is based on the concept of domain hosting of Internet world, so it is already a proven concept. It cant be much easier to create SMS/MMS services than what we provide in MNet today. Perhaps even more important is that with MNet Mobile Hosting the starting and managing costs of a corporate mobile enviroment are only a fraction of the price of the current solutions.
