BINGHAMTON GIANT MARKETS EMBRACE CHECKAGAIN

HERNDON, Va. -- December 16, 2002 -- CheckAGAIN(SM), a prominent check management services leader, announced that it is providing New York-based Binghamton Giant Markets comprehensive check management and loss prevention services. The deal is helping Binghamton Giant Markets substantially reduce losses related to bad checks. After completing a successful pilot program, Binghamton Giant Markets rolled out CheckAGAINs check management services to all of its twelve locations.

CheckAGAIN offers our business a suite of services that are unmatched by any other company," said Jim Whitaker, Director, Management Support Services, Binghamton Giant Markets. The services fit nicely with what we are already doing and have exceeded our expectations."

We create and implement solutions that are convenient and useful to our customers," said Tim Robinson, President, CheckAGAIN. As a result, customers like Binghamton Giant Markets are embracing our technology and seeing bad check recovery rates 20 to 30 percent higher over other methods."

Binghamton Giant Markets are currently taking advantage of CheckAGAINs comprehensive check management and loss prevention services, including:

• Electronic Check Re-Presentment (RCK) -- uses electronic recovery methods to re-present funds directly to the consumers bank account. This process means faster recovery and reduced bank fees. CheckAGAINs unique service verifies available funds before the second re-presentment.

• Centralized Returns -- enables multiple locations to consolidate returned checks into one bank, even if multiple depository banks are being used. This greatly reduces bank fees and accelerates information associated with returned checks.

• Web-enabled Reporting -- allows managers to view returned items, control how they are handled, access images and status of all returned items, and export data to a variety of accounting applications. Push-reporting enables automatic emailing of customized reports.

Binghamton Giant Markets was able to easily integrate CheckAGAINs check management services into their current systems. For instance, the grocery chain can easily automatically flag bad checks at the point of sale. In addition, CheckAGAIN was able to provide customers at each Binghamton location with information regarding returned check policies, helping to provide a seamless transition to the new check services.
