Woman Entrepreneur Wins National Business Award

Sacramento, CA - Joann Younger, owner of Renaissance The Designer Consignor, recently won the Woman on the Way award at a luncheon sponsored by the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). The Woman on the Way award recognizes exceptional promise by a woman in business for less than five years.

Ms. Younger's name was announced during the Fifth Annual OWL [Outstanding Women Leaders] Awards Luncheon, which was held at the Sutter Club and hosted by Kitty O'Neal of KFBK Radio.

In the program's newsletter, Ms. Younger was described in the nominations as having "taken the concept of clothing consignment to a whole new level" and as being "possibly the Nordstrom's of consignment."

"I was honored and humbled to win this award," said Ms. Younger. "This is a great organization with many wonderful women in it. Of course, I really need to give my sales staff - my Renaissance 'angels' - a heartfelt thanks, too, because I certainly couldn't do it without them."
