Rap Renaissance man Cam'ron helped retailers yell "oh boy" when COME HOME WITH ME, his first release on Roc-A-Fella Records, was certified platinum this week by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

RIAA award latest in Roc-A-Fella recording artist's long list of accomplishments

New York, NY -- Rap Renaissance man Cam'ron helped retailers yell "oh boy" when COME HOME WITH ME, his first release on Roc-A-Fella Records, was certified platinum this week by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The album, issued on May 14th and described by The Source as "15 tracks of energetic ghetto dramatics," has already spawned two major hits, "Oh Boy" and "Hey Ma." A third single, "Daydreaming," also recently dropped, with the video currently in rotation on both MTV and BET.

"Everything's finally coming together," says Cam'ron, adding the release of COME HOME WITH ME arrives after years of troubles with other record companies. "Basically it makes me realize that I've been on the wrong team with the right music, so I'm just happy to have the right music be on the right team."

COME HOME WITH ME also showcases the talents of the Diplomats, an ensemble featuring Cam'ron, Jimmy Jones, Freekey Zekey and Juelz Santana. Their first CD, tentatively titled DIPLOMATIC IMMUNITY, is presently scheduled to debut March 4th on the up-and-coming rap impresario's new label, Diplomat Records. The initial single from the project, "We Built This City," reworks Starship's famed 1985 hit with hard-edged, hip-hop harmonies.

Cam'ron can also be heard on Mariah Carey's comeback project, Charmbracelet, singing with the notorious diva on "Boy (I Need You)." Yet his accomplishments don't stop at the recording studio. The industrious rapper just appeared in the film PAID IN FULL portraying Rico, an unforgettable character that The Boston Globe called "genuinely dangerous," and he has launched "Oh Boy" cologne, available at Macy's and other major retailers, as well as http://www.rocawear.com.
