Universal Accounting Software Announces New Module Release

Universal Accounting Software, Inc. has announced the addition of a new module to its suite of accounting modules geared for the rental and industrial equipment industries. Work Order Processing is designed to completely automate the operations of equipment service and repair businesses, from tag label generation through call log management for completed orders.

The Edgewater, NJ-based company first installed the module at Ace Tool Repair, Inc., a high-volume equipment repair, sales, and rental center in Wantagh, New York. Ace has been using the system for over a year. The new module is completely integrated with Universal's accounting and inventory modules. Technicians can make progressive entries to an open work order to indicate current phases such as waiting for parts, pending customer approval, etc. Parts and labor charges added to a work order automatically update inventory levels. Work order can be totalled and cashiered in UAS's Rental Operations or Point Of Sale modules.

UAS will be demonstrating this new software via Internet web meetings throughout January and February 2003. Demos can be scheduled through their website at www.u-a-s.com
