PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN SECUREATTACHMENT AND VERIDIS WILL PROVIDE A COMPLETELY SECURE DISTRIBUTION CHAIN FOR DIGITAL DOCUMENTS
SecureAttachment, Europes leading provider of digital content delivery systems and secure DRM solutions, announces today an OEM agreement with Veridis, provider of information clearing technology and services. Under the terms of the agreement, Veridis will integrate the SecureAttachment service in its ICP SafeMail® solution. This partnership brings together the know-how of the two companies to create a completely secured distribution chain for digital documents.
To this day, most corporate security policies ensured internal data protection with access control and firewalls and secured the networks for communication outside their LANs with either a VPN or connections using SSL technologies.
Although this practice provides a reasonable degree of security, it has two severe handicaps:
ˇ Does not provide security at individual document level
ˇ Does not allow sending documents securely to recipients outside the extranet, unless they installed a specific security software.
To provide a solution for these two issues, Veridis will integrate in its secure Information Clearing Platform (ICP), the document protection capabilities of SecureAttachment.
ICP enables secure transmission of digital documents across any network or combination of networks: ICP SafeMail, based on the ICP infrastructure, is a complete set of technologies for authentication and encryption of e-mail communications.
SecureAttachment ensures security for digital documents after they have been delivered to the intended recipient. It enables the sender of a document to prevent unauthorized redistribution of the document by e-mail, to set the expiry date, and to allow the recipient to copy or print the document.
Combined, these two technologies offer a completely secure chain for digital distribution of documents: authentication of senders, encrypted transmission across any network, authentication of recipients, and document security after the document has been delivered", explains Anthony Belpaire, CEO of SecureAttachment.
The product will be targeted at enterprises that generate and exchange significant volumes of confidential or valuable enterprise documents.
