Have a Heart, By Doing Your Part! AHN is pleased to announce the "Valentine Treasure Drawing". The "Valentine Treasure Drawing" is the first drawing of the "StopPDD 2003" fundraising campaign. The winner will receive a $250 gift certificate that has been donated by Grey Feather Toy Creations.

Avian Health Network, Inc. (AHN), a non-profit charitable organization is pleased to announce the Valentine Treasure Drawing". Tickets for the drawing will be placed on sale 28 December 2002 and close on 27 February 2003 at 6pm (EST).

The Valentine Treasure Drawing is the first drawing of the 'StopPDD 2003 fundraising campaign. Ticket costs are $15 each or two (2) for $25. The winner will receive a $250 gift certificated that has been donated by Grey Feather Toy Creations (http://www.greyfeathertoys.com). Proceeds generated by the 'Stop PDD 2003 campaign will go to help subsidize the research of the Emerging Diseases Research Group, (EDRG) Dr. Branson W. Ritchie's multi-disciplinary team at the University of Georgias College of Veterinary Medicine. EDRG isolated and is studying a virus that appears to be causally linked with PDD.

PDD (Proventricular Dilatation Disease) is a deadly wasting syndrome that afflicts wild and domesticated birds worldwide. When birds are not isolated, as in the case of flocks, the effects of irreversible neural and gastrointestinal damage can spread from carrier to carrier like wildfire.
