PERNELL DISNEY KICKS OFF NATIONAL CD RELEASE TOUR WITH APPEARANCE AT PHILADELPHIA'S GRAPE STREET PUB

Pernell Disney Begins East Coast Tour

Independent singer/songwriter PERNELL DISNEY will begin an East Coast tour in support of the national release of his CD, Severn Way (DisneyWhirl Records), with an appearance at Philadelphias famed Grape Street Pub (105 Grape Street, Philadelphia PA). This show, on January 22, 2003 at 8:30 PM. will be the first of several performances scheduled for the dream pop" musician, and a great chance to hear songs from the debut album performed acoustically before DISNEY unveils his new band in February.

Advance word on Severn Way (produced in part by Tim Bradshaw, keyboard player with David Gray) already compares DISNEY to Duncan Sheik, Nick Drake, Dream Academy and Jeff Buckley, and goes on to define a collection of unusually beautiful songs. DISNEYs Coast-to-Coast pre-release tour and some television appearances in 2002 have confirmed the Washington, DC natives appeal to new audiences searching for original music in a year drowning in lesser talents. The Grape Street Pub show, DISNEYs first in Philadelphia, promises to be an exciting jumping off point for further East Coast adventures.
