The Choco Choco Handbag - Where chocolate meets fashion

Choco Choco House.com, carries chocolate handbags that come in a collection of stylish flavors like Champagne, Grand Marnier and Classic Dark Truffle.

Somerville, Mass. - Just when you thought you couldn't choose between your love of chocolate and your love of fashion, Choco Choco House arrives with the perfect solution; a scrumptious selection of chocolate handbags that come in a collection of stylish flavors such as Champagne, Grand Marnier and Choco's Dark Classic.

"High fashion hand bags and fine chocolate both inspire passion in people. Most of my chocolates are given as gifts to people who enjoy both!"
Each handbag is inspired by an actual bag design, original or off the runway. The Cappuccino bag, in milk chocolate with dark and white chocolate stripes is fashioned after the classic plaid bag. The British Blue bag has a mod Union Jack design and the dark chocolate ganache has been steeped in Blue Flower Earl Grey tea, giving each piece an extra caffeine kick.

The first collection includes seven chocolate bag designs called the Launch Collection which is the most popular item on the website. A handbag collection just cries out for shoes, so Aliya created her first entry in edible footwear, fashionable boots for winter!
"I call them thigh-high krunchies. They are available in milk or dark chocolate, with puffed rice for added texture." She says more shoes are in the works for 2004.

In spring 2003, Choco Choco Handbags were given to Elizabeth Taylor, Barbara Streisand, Justin Timberlake and many more Hollywood stars at "An Evening with the Osbournes," a private affair benefiting Colon Cancer and AIDS Research. The chocolate treats were also enjoyed at "Night of 100 Stars" in Hollywood.

The Choco Choco Handbag has been featured in the London Sunday Times, Spanish Vogue and other international fashion magazines.

Aliya worked as a dessert chef at Dali Restaurant in Somerville, Massachusetts for three years before opening her own business. She spent ten years in Harvard Square selling collectible toys before she decided to return to her dessert roots. Aliya began creating chocolate truffles and then as a result, the Choco Choco Handbag was born. These handmade confections are made with the best chocolate from France and Belgium and only the freshest ingredients are used.

The chocolate handbags are approximately 1.5 inches long, 1 inch high and .75 inches deep. The strap is made of ribbon and is not edible, of course. A six-piece box of chocolates is $17.95 and a 12-piece box is $35.95. They also offer two-piece boxes for $6, which are a hit at wedding showers and purse parties.

Choco Choco handbags can be purchased at the Henri Bendel store in New York City. They can also be bought on line at chocochocohouse.com and are now shipping to Europe and other selected countries.

The Choco Choco House factory is located in Somerville, Mass. For a CD of images or for more information, email chocochoco1@rcn.com
