This communication is to announce the formation of the Equitarian Cooperative Association.
On a western world" news broadcast last night the announcer said that they would be tracking Santa Clause throughout the evening as he made his way through millions of miles to take presents to all of the children" throughout the world.
How narrow the focus, how futile the plight, how shallow, conditional, controlled and empty we are. Is this our epitaph if it all ended today, because little in us has changed? What and where are the important things? Where is our spirit, the humane spirit that we hold so high, yet keep hidden from view or scrutiny?
It is not about what we can become but rather what we remain.
What does religion have to do with god, politics with consensus, commerce with community or equality with equity? Religion, politics, commerce and equality are simply the trappings, arguments and standards, of those who control. They lead away from the health and vitality of community. They suppress the individual that is uniquely you and usurp the responsibility you hold as a child of the same life giving force that is in all of us. How has humankind been allowed to create and maintain a global imbalance between wealth and poverty? A system of dominance and oppression that in the grand scheme of things is harmful to most and ultimately benefits so few. When do we begin to see the whole and the significance of each? Aside from other viruses, it seems we are the last species in the evolutionary chain, which has lasted billions of years. Yet in the blink of an eye, we threaten all that came before us. If there is a god and you where it, how would you judge us, individually and collectively?
Only eight percent of the worlds population have money in their pocket and in the bank while barely twenty five percent have a roof over their head, clothes on their back, enough food and perhaps a refrigerator to put it in. Do we each deserve at least that much and who decides? Yet while most of the world, near and far, withers, struggles and dies we still recite Golden Rules" or founding principles" as a battle cry. When the oppressed, abused and forgotten ask plainly to come to the table before the few go back for seconds we appoint committees, send aid packages occasionally, have charity events, give out blankets, prey and hope they go away. The suffering is palpable yet ignored. Charity is not a business or solution; in a true community, local or global, it is not even a word.
The dominant socio-economic system is a weapon of mass destruction to those who have less then we all should have. Think about it. It is time to begin building a new foundation upon which we can all exist equitably. Commerce, government and religion are inter and co-dependent in defending and maintaining their positions of power and corruption. It is time for our global community to evolve, to acknowledge, consider, appreciate, accept and find harmony through what we have in common.
Are you content with our content? Are you one with all that surrounds you? Are you the person you want to be from the view of what or who you believe god is? Life is not about who you are, or what you say, but rather what you do.
Dont wait to meet god, you have met. You have always known god, god has always known you and god gives us a choice, and that makes us each and all responsible and therefore accountable. We have heard these words before in so many ways, when is it going to be true?
We do not lord over life, we are offered a place within it, we are stewards, inter and co-dependent. We are each and all members of this organism, we call earth, individually and collectively.
In reflecting the anomalies of life, there seems little hope in us. What is seen, is deception, control, greed, corruption, apathy, suffering, waste, destruction, discord, and volatility. We are cancers to this organism. Collectively and it seems individually, few posses the ability to see and live the obvious. You are not just responsible for your life, but rather your part in life itself, which includes each. Our species must find harmony or we will not be able to overcome and evolve. We will not be able to meet the challenges that the fruits of equilibrium could easily overcome. Our species must find balance in order to become part of all. Evolving life is the ultimate science, a technology that resolves anomalies, in the grand scheme. On this planet we are the anomaly, we dont fit in and yet we assume the position of lord and master. Spoiled brats and bullies, and those who hoard the spoils and beat back the masses that reach for help.
It was said the message is the medium, just as your practice is your principle. Dont wait to meet god, and dont place the relationship in the hands of anyone or anything. God is life, your constant companion and god is each and all of us. Each a unique manifestation and each no less godly in conception. Treat each other that way, do unto others as they would have you do unto them, as we are all one with god but only if we choose to be. Each of you is a component of life, live in harmony with life and you will live in god.
We do not own this earth, we share it, however no one or nothing has the right to take what he or she wants until all needs are met.
Equitarians seek equity for all, governance through and by direct consensus and the freedom to express and enterprise within the boundaries established by mutual consideration and general agreement. In other words the needs of the many must be met before the wants of the few, as a function of community, at every level of community, beginning locally and accepted globally. We are creating and implementing a public enterprise, a utility owned by the people, superceding politics, religion, origin, status and commerce. The needs of the many are more important then the wants of the few.
We seek dialogue with those who wish to move our individual and collective communities, cultures and societies in one direction by discussing what we have in common. The effects of globalization, mass communication, science, and technology, have established the realization that we must find a mutual foundation on which to base our communal, social and spiritual direction, this need is beyond question.
It is time to travel in a more inclusive direction.
We seek those who pursue equilibrium, those who believe we all have mutual claim, those who encourage all to join in and contribute to what could someday be a commonly held, underlying and inherent philosophy, principle and practice. A socio-economic system where all are welcome to help create and maintain an inclusive, rather then exclusive society. We invite all to leave their inclinations, prejudices, and cultural exclusivity at the door. We invite all to hear, speak, and mutually consider the voice and contributions of each person, while acknowledging, considering and appreciating the common and communal principles of all peoples and the intrinsic value of all things. To acknowledge, we have the ability to do so and that true consensus, is the direct intention of the ideals of democracy. Further to acknowledge that consensus has not been truly reflected in the actions of any democratic government at the level described in concept, constitution, or the practices of enforcement, law or justice.
To realize and accept we are all responsible for the condition of this world and that that world starts where we each stand, physically, spiritually, socially, culturally, politically and dogmatically. It is time to collectively, and individually do something about it.
It is time for each to decide whether they offer a shoulder to stand on or the burden of their weight? Time to speak and be heard as individuals, not churches, religions, political parties, governments, organizations or groups that any of you may belong to, because in the end, we each stand accountable, and at the beginning, responsible.
It is time to acknowledge we cannot always tell which side the politicians, corporations, evangelists, religions, enforcers, protesters and terrorists are on, or simply, good from bad, so we must start with our families, neighbors and communities and they must include all of us.
The time has passed to pull punches or to be politically correct, it is time to discuss and seek social, moral and spiritual correctness, without exclusive motive.
It is time to put the common topics on the table. We can no longer cling to a mirage, while the few occupy and defend an oasis. We must understand that we all change the world every day by our actions, period.
We suggest that ideals like, Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, or Guarantees and Charters of Civil and Human Rights, while Nobel in creation, have become franchises or licenses". Further that these ideals, are owned by, and guaranteed to, those they are systematically kept from.
We suggest that the established patterns prove these franchises" are managed under the guise of free enterprise, religion, democratic government, equal justice and unbiased enforcement. Further that the managers and enforcers ultimately, work to the benefit of the franchise" controllers, rather then those they are hired, licensed, designated or elected to represent. Regardless and without at least philosophical" dispute, the collective we", owns the democratic franchise, the justice and the free enterprise system. Those in control, with few exceptions, remove the productivity, creativity or profits, for their own benefit. To them, it makes every bit of sense, because we let them. It has always been that way, but it does not have to stay that way. We must accept that the choice is ours and it is time for each of us to make it.
It is time to appreciate the global village is an accumulation of local communities and that as we determine common values they must become the underlying cornerstone of each and all communities at every level of community from local to global.
Only 8% of the worlds population have money in the bank and in their wallet.
That means 92% percent cannot manage to live successfully on a day to day, or pay to pay, basis, that is if they are fortunate enough to be paid. A startling reality, perhaps but is it truly surprising? Stock reports are part of every mainstream news show in spite of the fact that 92% of the entire population cannot invest. I believe in equity for all, governance through direct consensus, and the ability for anyone to enterprise and/or express, locally, freely and fairly. I propose a constructive plan and system that is owned by and responsive to those that it is in place to serve.
I believe it is morally obscene that, a maximum of 8% of the population has in their possession or control, 92% of the worlds assets, resources and talent base, for their exclusive use. But ask yourself, are they the enemy or just enterprising opportunists that we indulge? Too few realize, we are individually and collectively being manipulated, used, divided and bullied by the few. It is time to do the math, because we are being controlled, by the greed, our greed. Do you want equity or do you want to be one of the eight percent because if that is generally true I am wasting my time. It has been time to do something about it for countless generations, but the system is set up to make us think we are in control, but if that is the case why are most of the collective us suffering and struggling while the comparative few covet the spoils.
Tens of thousands of innocent people die of starvation everyday, not because they are Jewish or Christian or Muslim, or Hindu or agnostic, American, Afghani, or, or ,or ,or, but because they dont have enough food. Well where the hell is everybody? Corruption, pollution, destruction, extinction, oppression, greed and on and on. I again ask, where the hell is everybody, and muse, most are in hell, and it is by choice.
The conservative estimation is that over 90% of media and commerce are owned and controlled by significantly less than 1% of the worlds population, also that over ninety percent of Justice is controlled and enforced by 8% or less of the population. Justice equals influence. Monopoly is the reality and there are laws against it, there are also laws against breaching contracts, self indulging collusion and corruption, but again, they" control the administration of the law and are held harmless by or through self effacing adjudication, controlled media and technology. But in the Western world we own it, right?
This conspiracy is not a theory, it is sobering and undeniable reality.
I know from direct experience as do countless other victims who suffer in isolation. Those who have been threatened and punished in various ways for simply demanding those employed by us, do their jobs as contracted, individually and collectively. Those who suffer, go hungry and die simply because of where they are born. Those who fall by the way side and are stepped over. This is allowed to happen by us, individually and collectively. Most of us dont even vote because there is no real choice.
I wonder why it seems necessary to start a movement to get our employees to do their jobs. We know many have tried and failed. A significant part of the Equitarian philosophy and the resultant objectives, are to hold those who govern, legally accountable if they breach their contracts, and they do.
We seek, empathy, advocacy and useful discussion, that could evolve into positive change, for everyone by simply enforcing the rules that those that came before us, put in place. That those before us sacrificed their lives, freedoms and livelihoods to bring about. What we now take for granted as we sip from the bottle hanging in our cage, and sell our souls to the highest bidders.
We have faced them and they have guns, but we also know we have something more powerful, we have reason, but without you and our unity, they do not have to listen. We continue to be manipulated, used, bullied and kept divided by the few. Little has changed.
McLuhan, among his many other insights, said the message is the medium. If the medium is controlled, then so is the message, and we all know who controls media and conversely who lets them. The message is the medium just as the principle is the practice and neither can be overlaid without the consensus of each community determining the purity, accessibility and availability of both the principle and the practice. As the Mayan culture expressed, The enemy of my enemy is my friend". In our collective case the enemy of exclusively practiced and narrowly beneficial principles is the unification and collective voice of our communities, our local through global communities. I am a friend who wishes us to share and exchange knowledge, culture, awareness, inspiration, productivity and enlightenment, equitably, including the empowerment of the innovative and enterprising. I wonder why that is too much to ask?
Equitarian initiatives promote equitable accessibility as opposed to guaranteed availability, because in spite of the guarantee, access is only available based on anyones level" of equality. Equality and exclusive privilege are controlled or purchased, not guaranteed, no matter where you are or what you say. Sorry, but there really isnt a little McDonalds in everyone", just as Santa does not deliver to all of the children, relatively few actually. What bothers me is that this is OK with most of you, or it wouldnt be happening or you are waiting for something or someone to lead you. Choose wisely but you will have to choose. That role would scare the hell out of anyone, because, you, must lead ,you, by learning from those who speak, teach and do what you truly believe in at your soul.
In the book of Revelations in the Christian Bible, which comes in countless versions, all touted to be the unquestionable word of God. There is a prediction that machines, or perhaps technology will rise up, attack us, et cetera, Orwellian style. Well they have and to the benefit of oh so few. The destruction is everywhere and threatens this very planet, our only home. Causing Pollution, Ecological disaster, Biological threat, Weapons of mass destruction, Genocide, Global warming, Homelessness, Starvation, Disease, War, Revolution, Oppression, Terrorism, Monopoly, Species extinction, and concentration of wealth, resources, health, well being and enterprise. Yet we can put a person on the moon, build a tunnel under the English Channel, pay athletes 25 million dollars a year, to play a game. I suggest the wrong people, are in charge.
Little has changed. Humankind built Pyramids, conquered civilizations, destroyed Indigenous Cultures and Nations, made them slaves and raped the planet and its occupants. This has been going on for millennia and this is not illusion or virtual, it is irrefutable reality. The powers that are in control now have the technology and ethical and collective corruption to make us see, hear and often believe anything they want. So we had best start communicating and listening to each other, in a determined, structured and generally agreed upon way, honoring all participants, from the bottom up, because that is where most of us reside. The Equitarian Cooperative Association proposes a constructive plan, a workable system that is more inclusive, more equitable, based on a more direct form of consensus which is open to innovation, creativity and empowerment to those who wish to express or enterprise. We have been describing the symptoms for a million years and occasionally there are pockets of rebellion. It is time, to do something about the inherent flaw in our social order.
We all have a claim, and it is being held from us, seemingly by force, but it is actually by choice. The choice made by those who at least by definition and constitution have a voice. Those who have a vote but either dont exercise it or they sell it to their party, their employer, their religion, their motive.
I believe that the human species has reached a fork in the road. In either direction the planet may survive however our fate is our choice, individually and collectively and I believe it is time to do something about it. Its time to decide which road to take. Who shall inherit the earth or better said what shall, because the earth is not automatically ours to inherit. The meek? Do the meek have to be humans? We are merely a component. The earth and every molecule and organism on and within it have equity and deserve consideration as members of each single, expanding and collective community. However no one owns earth more then any other. We have always had the choice and we have chosen to let the few be the masters. It is time to be accountable. Not focusing that accountability on those in governance or any position of power or influence. Rather for each of us to be accountable and for each and all of us to hold those empowered with responsibility, answerable, but how?
Thats what I want us to start talking about.
We hear but do we listen? The Indigenous peoples, throughout the planet, listened, first to their surroundings, starting with Mother Nature or earth. Walk out into the forest or to the ocean, find a quiet spot and listen. The earth breathes. Like us, its fluids are circulating around and through its body. It stretches, contracts, cycles and recycles all by itself, it is alive and we are killing it, not they, we. This planet and all life within and upon it are marvels that we take for granted. The indigenous people, with few exceptions, are the wisest people on this planet, there is no middle ground between them and nature, their creator or their community. They where the only cultures that understood and tried to harmonize, while maintaining some semblance of equilibrium. They shared, honored and showed mutual respect, but not one of their cultures remains in tact. They have all been overrun or corrupted by the takers and their enforcers, despite their Noble determination and intrinsic value. Defeated by greed with technology.
This planet, earth, and all of its components lives, it exists, as part of the greater living universe. We have become the cancer that defiles it, and in doing so, defile all life, including the vast majority of mankind. It is estimated that we cause over 80% of cancer and the substantial effects of other diseases. So I wonder just whom, is in charge? We hear, but we choose not to listen. We see, but we choose to look the other way. We touch, but we do not feel. We think, but we do not consider. We volunteer, but we do not show up. We compare, but we do not balance. We preach but we do not practice. We point, but never at ourselves. The exceptions are few and I want to find out why
Only humans exhibit greed, but worse, it is societies dominant and driving force, kept in tack by the silent majority. The collective we is a disgrace to all living things because we are mostly one of three things; victims, those who keep the victims in line, or those who control.
The latter two are prepared to go back for seconds, thirds, and fourths ad nauseam, while others havent been to the table yet, while thousands wither and die, daily. We are here to overcome the survival of the fittest theory in favor of the survival of the Yin and Yang; the balance between all of the parts in and of the endless and timeless diversities of life. Further to understand how those treasures can multiple when shared by all or how imbalance becomes the anomaly that life must and will resolve in order to reach and maintain the bliss of equilibrium. We are in discord with the symphony of life because we think we are the conductors when we are the front line, the foot soldiers of evolution seeking to expand the diversity and joy of life. We are testing how to proceed and take every contributor along for the ride. We evolved from single cells and stand on each step, but each is an important one, yet we destroy the power that employed us to carry his precious cargo, god trusted us and we have been trying a patience that life cannot endure.
If there were extra terrestrial beings, and I was one, I would not contact us either. We, are the corruption. How do you imagine a god would feel? Why do you think people wonder if there is a god? If you knew there was a god would you act differently? Compassion should not depend on who is watching, but I digress. If they, these aliens or foreigners as we would call them, where on a mission to cure this planet, lets say, on gods behalf, their treatment would be to remove the cancer...and that is us. It is time to find the cure and begin to heal.
I love space too, I love to imagine and explore the possibilities but hope we fail in our endeavors to travel elsewhere, because all we would be doing is spreading our cancer. We are the carcinogenic, we are responsible and ultimately accountable.
It is time for transition, for traditions to be acknowledged while re-examined, as we begin to communicate, understand and rebuild on the existing foundation. Utilizing what is already available, what has always been available. We are all guests on this planet, but too many act like they own the place.
I propose that it is time to evolve, to share progress, and not revolt. Time to begin a transformation to a better society, culture and socio-economic system that more sincerely and successfully includes and considers each and all. We are not slaves to doctrine, governance, technology or commerce but rather to the principle benefactors, the few who have the most, but that too is a conscious choice, your choice, just as it is mine.
What government, on this earth, places, as their first priority, the common and guaranteed rights, well being and needs of the unfortunate, before the exclusive rights and wants of the affluent and powerful? There are a few sovereign states with such ideals written into their constitutions. However the representative governments do not enforce the guarantees and the consensus is not upheld. Who do they work for?
Governance, technology and commerce are societys tools and are not to be used to exclude and enforce, but rather, enable and empower, as public, social or community utilities. Even those who are the enforcers are given little more then the crumbs to compete for and in return, they insure that well over half of the planets peoples and living things, have even less.
If you have food in a refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep...you are richer than 75% of humankind and we all deserve at least that much. This imbalance is the result of the most subtle and intrusive form of violence and violence when used to protect the greedy and fuel exclusive enterprise and commerce is the most unacceptable form.
Harmony is not found through equality, but rather equity.
Equality is not inherently common, it is given or doled out, in relation to the standards and codes set by those in the position to control them, regardless of the mandate. Today equality, as a basic tenant, is used in isolation and as such becomes a divisive, disruptive and controlling mechanism, entirely contrary to the honorable intention of its authors and proponents. A world where our uniqueness and differences are acknowledged, recognized, understood, celebrated and contributed, to the mutual benefit of everyone and everything.
Equality without equity divides us. It is a wolf in sheeps clothing, a mirage, a trap, a false god, an inherent flaw in our society. We are unique, not equal, however we are all entitled to our share, to equitable distribution, and direct consideration and contribution.
I suggest it is a privilege to serve in the administration of governance or to benefit from enterprise, and that such privilege is not intended to give exclusive domain or priority over those served. The only people this opinion will threaten are those few who have virtually uncontrolled control. These people answer to no one, because they" are not threatened by the questions. I wonder how we are controlled by so few? I suggest that it doesnt matter who they are or what they do, it matters who you are and what you do. If there was a support mechanism, a common infrastructure based on equity, consensus and the freedom to enterprise, would you participate, would you uphold it, would you contribute, would you defend it, would you live it?
The Equitarian Initiative will be offering alternatives that I believe each and all can live with, but again the choice will be yours.
Chose your leaders, alliances, personal and collective principles wisely. They determine your worth. There are no more excuses and judging by the state of our societies, communities and this planet, there is precious little time. It is time for a course correction toward what most of us hold as ideal.
As a contributor, I am suggesting and soliciting solutions that can be shared, weighed, commonly accepted and carefully implemented. Considering all, over an acceptable time and in an unthreatening way. At everyones level of comfort, accessibility and acceptance, as we all learn how to, identify with, what we all have in common. We can then provide through and by that consensus, a universal standard before the bias of doctrine, prejudice, political agenda or commerce. Enabling us all to at least begin to participate, celebrate and be involved in the process. To begin to harmonize, as we evolve and find a mutual and collective equilibrium, where we all blend together underpinning and celebrating our diversities, and we all can. If we can and we dont, we deserve whatever follows. There are no more excuses, for anyone.
We cannot continue to tolerate the condition of this planet and its occupants. We cannot continue to struggle as members of thousands of splinter groups and organizations. That is how the few win; we are divided. We cannot unite as Muslims, Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, revolutionaries, corporations, lobbyists, governments, for profit, not for profit, artistic, human and civil rights groups and on and on, but as kindred and caring spirits, first. Guided, not by love or hate, but by empathy, compassion, acceptance and tolerance.
It is not reasonable to me that god cares whether we kneel or what direction we prey, or if we burn incense, chant or wear ceremonial dress. God is not Presbyterian, or Jewish, Catholic, Muslim, Irish, American, Chinese or Brazilian. God does not judge equality through dogma, politics, stature or commerce and in my view god is just about fed up with our arrogance, greed, immaturity and destruction.
I further suggest, that love, truth, faith and perfection, like equality are uniquely understood, first and foremost in the individual, and cannot be categorized or generally defined because we are not equal, we are all unique. We each have a unique perspective and experience, we are each a vessel through which life is experienced but beyond that are we bound together? No one knows, but each imagines, however we can all agree to have equity, and it must be unconditional. Equality sets a standard that you must live up to in order to receive and that is unacceptable. Nevertheless we can all have equity and within that we all must be able to express the uniqueness that create the contributions that all can share. We must also share and coexist with all that came before us if we hope to have the same consideration from those who follow us.
The pursuit of equality is an illusion, which many seek, by identifying with, and emulating those that have, while the true victims languish.
There is enough to go around and there are better ways then raping the planet and its occupants, for the comfort of the few who seem more equal then the rest. When humankind is absent, the living harmony of nature is maintained. Instinct is fooled by illusion.
I realize these principles and initiatives will draw resentment, criticism, scoffs, name calling, and perhaps violent opposition and worse. However I also know these views will only be an issue to those who are supposed to work for those they represent and dont. Those who have more then their equitable share or those, whose egos and agendas take precedence over underlying principles and unity. I know there is a better way and believe governance and technology must be public utilities, not our masters. I believe in enterprise and governance by direct consensus, not distant and corrupt representation and the technology to do just that exists, right now. It will take time to fully implement but the process, in and of itself, will be reward enough. Sharing abilities while rebuilding and maintaining the autonomy of our communities and villages, as well as, our personal sovereignty, dignity and equity. Not just physical communities but also cultural, artistic, spiritual, educational, innovative, industrious, humorous and more as well. Overlaid, harmonized, appreciated and shared, not homogenized, categorized, segregated, divided, ignored or ignorant, wasteful, and wasted.
There is a possible reality using available resources where virtually all could benefit and a system that could enable us all to reestablish and self govern our own communities from the local level and every level in between through to the global. Achieved through the consensus of those within each level of community, not distant, biased and self-sustaining representation or ownership. John Naisbitt might call it concentrated decentralization but whatever it is called it could belong to all of us.
It is, in my view, incidental to the discussion but whatever form a god" may take, I believe, very few, certainly including myself, arent causing disappointment. Either as the perpetrators and benefactors, and their obedient enforcers or the overwhelming mass of innocent victims in every society. God would be in all things, all people and all life, not some. And what we call the devil or evil or greed is only in humans and we are a disgrace to all living things. We are the only negative species but I do not believe it is too late.
I understand, that on average, 90% of the productivity and value now leaves most communities and goes to the benefit of those who are elsewhere and the rest of the world is just plain hungry, unhappy, unappreciated, unfulfilled, frustrated, disillusioned and often alone and destitute. That is the reality of equality as an objective, no matter how strong, blind or patriotic your argument, because it is a segregated or isolated argument, much like religion. There is no room for patriots or zealots, when they are defending the corruption and lack of common equality within their own exclusive system, no matter what side you are perceived or coerced to be on. Its like working for Darth Vadar, the faceless mindless drones that enforce the will of the few, in the name of patriotism, commerce, dictatorship or religion, to the benefit of the few.
This imbalance cannot simply and immediately be reversed. That would create further chaos and continue the entropic, violent and catastrophic nature of our society. Time is not a factor once we start moving in the right direction collectively and, if we start now, before it is too late. Time is not the enemy when the pendulum stops swinging.
Firstly, we must expose the elected officials, appointees and civil servants that maintain a stranglehold on the systems that are at least touted as just, by constitution or definition. In other words make government, justice and enforcement agencies, do their jobs. Based on their clearly defined and ratified rules. Poor governance is one thing, breaching the terms of employment is another. Failure is one thing, cheating is another. Cooperation is one thing, inherent collusion and corruption is another. The United Nations is a representation of governments, we need to form a body for them to report to because if I am not mistaken all governments must report to the people, and they dont, I dont care where you live.
Secondly those who own commerce and enterprise must respond to the well being of their markets not continue to plunder them and manage our governments.
The time for discussion is nearing an end. Its time to get started, to get involved. To implement in a non-threatening, cooperative and more inclusive way. By holding the governments in power accountable to do their job, because in a democracy they work for us. Additionally and at the same time in parallel and the spirit of cooperation, we will begin establishing, implementing and growing a new home for a new socio-economic infrastructure, from the ground up. A system owned and managed by the people, in your community, beginning locally. Working toward a decentralized, but scalable system of community health and consensus rather then distant and often misguided representation. With an ultimate goal of equity, empathy, common equality, free enterprise and equilibrium, a system that considers most, before dismissing any.
All I want is my fair share and for most everyone else to want the same thing. Do you feel the same way? All I need is enough, all anyone needs is enough. Beyond that we have harmony, a symphony, a masterpiece and ultimately mutually beneficial expression and widely distributed contribution. Each of us a perfectly unique part, of the evolving, ever changing and universal whole.
In order to do this we must give our heads a shake, back up a little, begin to listen, meet, acknowledge, consider, appreciate, accept and rediscover our social instincts and temper our social ways. I believe many feel essentially the same way and that the task is as simple as beginning the process and then we will lead and teach by example. We are starting, if we build it, will you come is not he same as lets contribute together, build it together, maintain it together and share both the load and the benefits.
Countries, politics, religion, corporations are all technologies most often abused and used to impose rather then compliment, serve and protect. We cannot evolve through revolution or further violence. Revolution, with historic regularity, only changes the benefactors and their enforcers, because revolution puts control into the hands of the same problem and that is accountability of the few. Where there are few in control there is corruption. We have a right, in fact an obligation to determine, implement and exercise common consensus.
This movement will and must be considered an immediate threat to those who hold control but we are in charge. At least in democratic places, because the objective, is not there removal unless they refuse to respond but to begin a transition to direct responsive governance, equity and rebuilding healthy, productive and enterprising communities. However history also tells us it will not be that simple. This is not just about leadership but rather direction, it is more about a new local to global public attitude and utility that will enable cooperation while nurturing diversity in direct relationship to the participation and consensus of the masses. This will be the strongest threat, those in power, have ever confronted and they will not lie down quietly.
When and where we can, within the existing systems of governance, we will use the courts to enforce the rules set out in our constitutions, acts and laws, when those charged with the responsibility are in breach of their contracts. That is reason for dismissal for any one of us isnt it? If a government is in breach of their contract they will be exposed, charged and forced to do the jobs they have been hired or elected to do or they will be fired and replaced. We cannot simply blame corruption in a democracy on those elected and appointed but rather the ultimate accountability falls with the people who have done little about it, again us.
We will use the courts and media to garner the necessary public understanding. We will create independent media where issues cannot be controlled by the few that currently monopolize it and an alternate local to global consensus based movement and supportive infrastructure. At the same time we will gradually create new traditions, through each transition, which will improve the way we transact, with each other. There is much to do but at the same time, if we share the load, what else would you want to do?
I invite those who have and wish to share a common interest while discussing these initiatives and all are welcome because we all have equity and say. To find where we can agree and then act, immediately, with underlying unity, dignity, integrity and consideration. We need to all be partners in something bigger then each and all of us, because it considers each and all of us. It is time to mobilize within the system as we run in parallel or alliance to achieve that common goal. Eventually overlaying the two, bridging the gaps, blending the old with the new, and the principle with the practice, as we attain the possible, together.
Technology, current structures, administration and so on are not solely at fault. We have the abilities and resources but they are controlled and those controls enforced. This is not about taking sides, it is about rallying around what most agree on. It is about principles. Ideals perhaps, but many have worked towards them. Anthony and Stanton, Martin Luther King, Mandella, Moses, Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Gandhi, Sister Teresa, Darwin, Sagon, (David) Suzuki, Jung and the many others that escape memory or are not known to me because of my ignorance. We have made them and their examples the cliches that we hide behind, while too many worship having more. Who are your role models? What are your true influences?
We are all part of a living organism and it is time to figure out with humility and humanity how we all blend together while sharing our diversities and productivity. We have ignored common process and are making progress extinct. Charity cannot start in the home if the home is not part of the community around you and the community around you ultimately must include us all, respecting each.
I personally refuse to live in anger, ignorance, isolation or fear any longer, thats how they win. It is time to lead by example rather then protest in defiance or by joining the intimidation of the rank and file. Physical threat or violence is their tool not ours. We must live through accomplishment, be satisfied, fulfilled and happy in the practice, as we do, or fade, through atrophy, into oblivion. Uniting defeats their strangle hold on our reality.
I did not ask for this job but was born with the tools and was afraid to use them. We all have tools and talents in one way or another, another cliche but cliches are generally the truth and you or I are not honest unless we are honest to the common truths. If they are overlaid with what you truly do, how can you turn away? We all have a contribution to make and we all have the right to benefit from those collective and singular contributions.
I cannot live with myself any longer without living and expressing common truths and consideration, because of what others might think or in fact do. Yet most do everyday. We look the other way to protect ourselves while others are reaching for help. We step over and curse the homeless for being in the way. We turn off the starving kids commercials because it spoils our supper as we watch TV and feed our fat faces. The money we spend on our addictions alone, everyday, could feed the hungry, everywhere, everyday, and who benefits from those addictions? The money we waste on franchises destroys our communities everyday. You should only have to settle for less when everyone has to, and everyone does not have to, in fact everyone does not. I am no longer going to settle for less for anyone. Are you?
If there was a way, where the journey was easier for most, where all had the opportunity to contribute and the results of progress were more evenly distributed, would you take it or continue to sit on the fence? Dont be offended if you are already trying because together we can do better.
If there is a god or spirit common to us all, and if this god or spirit is in everything, then perhaps, it sees through our eyes, feels through our touch, hears through us, grows, loves, experiences our every action and choice. But what god sees, feels and hears through humankind can be of little comfort. Would such a god, be proud of what we have chosen to do with what is created and provided?
I challenge any one of you to say we couldnt do better.
Again being politically correct or diplomatic must take a back seat to being socially, morally and commonly correct. Current dominant societies try to kill enlightenment, instead of listening, considering and nurturing. We have assigned our destiny and fate to others and our enlightenment, spiritual growth and common consideration is a threat to them. There are no more walls for them or us to hide behind, or fences to sit on because it is about all.
This planet is a mess, my father called it a cesspool. It is out of balance and it is time to fix it or we will all lose, we cannot falter any longer. Its time in our evolution to evolve or become extinct. I have a dream to share also, and need help to sow the seeds and reap the benefits. If you understand or are at least curious, will you listen, and if you agree will you participate? We have the ability and resources to establish a better society, enabling and empowering countless unique individuals and communities to thrive in isolation and in tandem, from neighbor to neighbor up to the global village and at any level in between including one to one. A common equitable way for all governments around the world to exist together and in harmony and to eventually drop all boarders except the ones around the sovereignty of individuals and our communities. One country, one global village, as an accumulation of villages and individuals. Then perhaps we will find a universal neighborhood.
Governance, with regularity, does not like the exposure of scrutiny direct consensus and view their power with more vigor then the privilege of service. I dont want anyone to own this but the people, because I believe it creates an opportunity for us to evolve or fail as a species.
Did you listen to Sydney Portier at the last Academy Awards? Millions heard, but did you listen? First he thanked the people who went out on a limb to help evolve society via their craft and livelihood. Thanking them for risking their status and position, (their" exclusive level of equality) in favor of common principle and social need. I believe Sydney Portier would want you to respect what he said and what they did above respecting him. Then, he thanked his evolutionary predecessors, upon whose shoulders he was able to stand. A more selfless, gracious or eloquent man you will never meet, because he wants you to respect the common principle, not him. We do however respect his craft and him as well.
Of course most of the Global Village cant watch the Academy Awards or the medium they honor.
The Equitarian Initiatives are based within an all inclusive and more spiritual philosophy and community based infrastructure. The Equitarian movement and initiatives aspire to establish new standards and infrastructures, within which all cultures and communities could grow and learn to appreciate, communicate and yes share with each other. Cordially, with mutual respect, in spite of our programmed prejudices and biases, as we unravel them.
Even if we start now it may take a millennium to truly evolve and if we dont change, it may take a millennium to perish but the time to start is now or the second option is imminent. Some have said that its not their problem, they will be dead and gone, so who cares if there is another ice age in ten thousand years. It is already, almost too late, and if we dont change now we are committing ourselves through our children and their children etceteras to a thousand years of hell, then obscurity. Like Sydney we either stand on the shoulders of our evolutionary predecessors or fall under the weight of our complacency.
Are you offering a shoulder to stand on or the burden of your weight?
As said we are beginning the process of setting up a number of initiatives. Everyone is welcome and honestly we need all of the help we can get
As globalization occurred we began to lose the isolated, exclusive and imposed rules that governed our various cultures, societies and communities. Through that process we have had to start to recognize the necessity for a new and more common set of rules and this time we must do better, by including everyone. In the process we must be considerate, forgiving and compassionate, we must include enterprise, a freer system where the enterprising, determined, innovative and uniquely talented can receive just reward for their contributions. There is enough to go around, there are ways to progress without destroying the planet.
Imagine the rate of technological, scientific or medical growth and advancement if we all contributed and benefited, together.
Everything will remain an illusion, until we all see from the same point of view, both collectively, and diversely. The clarity of common interest must have precedence over the limiting restrictions of uncommon rules and distant administration. Social change like evolution and personal growth is not instant, but in this case its necessity has also been understood for millennia. We know better, we just do not do better. Change, while the only constant, is the most difficult to adjust to without compassion, consideration, acknowledgement, shared knowledge, mutual understanding and harmonic enlightenment. Constructive and mutually beneficial acceptance of commonly beneficial change requires the wisdom of community consensus, and the consistencies of commonly held principles. The new must run in parallel, not in opposition or competition, before it can blend with and compliment the strengths and value of the old, because that is our foundation. The value of repetition is innovation. It is hybridization or convergence as we now like to call it, and progress becomes invisible and absorbed without conflict if evolved through mutual process.
Innovation has become the realm and tool of exclusivity, rather then the shared result of mutual respect and shared progress.
When I started to wake up, I tried to use the system to enforce my rights and the rights of others. I discovered, without absolute surprise, that with few exceptions, the police, lawyers, courts, crowns, judges, politicians, civil servants etc., are in bed with each other, and every other part of the justice and government system. Sadly, they respond to the direction of closed economic systems and private enterprise.
Through personal experience I found out that we where no longer equal when we broke the mould. That we truly do not possess the rights and equity guaranteed by our government and those who enforce. That is so because we, those who question those in power are isolated, ridiculed, held harmless and so most give up and go back to where they came from with their tails between their legs, demoralized, defeated, no longer a threat, or they become a business unto themselves. Their products are charity, stopping pollution, saving animals etc. Two choices remain, violence or unified defiance
I would have run away, started over, and probably made the same mistakes again but because of the fortitude, honor and integrity of another, we fought back, and found a way, together. I wasnt easy and it been almost six lonely and difficult years of fighting for our basic rights, our guaranteed rights, our equality and the services we pay for. I thought I knew how they worked, because I was one of them, but I thought that in the end they would do the right thing. I was wrong and so is what those who are given control by us, are doing, individually and collectively and I for one am going to do something about it, by determining and practicing common principles. Will you journey with us?
It is no secret to many, but I found out the hard way that rights and equality come with alliance or wealth and if you believe otherwise you are mistaken as I was and if you must test your believe without alliance, influence or wealth you will be disappointed.
We spent every cent, then borrowed, begged and stole, just to receive what we already own, but continued to be kept from, intentionally. Unfortunately when the time comes to stand up most of you look the other way. We can no longer do this alone and it is no longer just for us, it is about all of us. Do we stand-alone? Can the collective, we, join together? Can we find common values? It is time to find out.
I have said enough. There are no more excuses, we must stand united, with reason.
It is time for action, positive, constructive, productive, action. It is time to start a more inclusive process because no one can it alone, nor should they have to.
We must take a deep breath, relax, and step back for a brief moment in time. Discuss, find the synergies and natural flow. Overlay our diversities with our mutual priorities, acknowledge, appreciate, enjoy, have fun, because once you set the common destination, it is all about the process or journey. When that happens their are no destinations we cannot reach. No dreams we cannot realize and no one needs to be left behind, but alas, to get, we must give, and in that giving we can all receive what most of us need, which becomes what most of us want.
It is not going to happen by itself, you must actively participate by choice or it doesnt count. There are no miracles without living them and no one bears the weight of your choices but you. It is time. The church or religion, social or financial status, political allegiance or orientation is not your salvation, sanctuary or the foundation of equity, they are the foundations of equality and equality can only exist with one common foundation. Government and law and the greedy are the focus but ultimately not only to blame, we are, and that makes us both the problem and accountable because we are responsible, since evolution or god gave us a choice. Bullies are only bullies when others stand idly by. We must each accept that responsibility. We can look to no other for absolution because in the end your choice and actions are absolute. No church or religion, not any government and not those who address their wants before the needs of others, it is your responsibility.
It is time, The Equitarian Cooperative Association.
