WORLD'S FIRST PORTABLE LINKS SERVICE LAUNCHED
Onesite.info launches free web-based personal favourites facility.
Forgetful internet users now have a helping hand to remember their favourite web-pages when away from home. Cambridge (UK) based Onesite.info has today launched a free service that will display their personal favourites wherever they go.
With the launching of this new service, Onesite.info now becomes the first search site that will memorise individual users' favourite links, and display them from wherver they access the internet.
This facility claims an obvious advantage over the traditional favourites lists that are stored on millions of computers around the globe. Stored centrally on the search site, the settings follow the user, whether at work or in an internet cafe.
Onesite.info was developed to provide a single point of reference that would be intuitive to use, and enable fast navigation to a broad range of selected internet sites. They claim two important advantages over Google and other search sites. Firstly, the destination sites, being pre-selected, do not include the many irrelevant or inappropriate sites that typically form the bulk of the results listings from sites such as Google that conduct a real-time search. Secondly, selection of sites is on the basis of merit alone, whereas the other major search sites charge for inclusion and a high ranking in their searches.
