The Parcel Express Murders will debut in April, 2002

The Parcel Express Murders by Bernadette Y. Connor is scheduled for an April, 2002 release from BEE-CON B00KS and has already been embraced by Hollywood. "The Parcel Express Murders is an exciting murder mystery that is worthy of the author of the most impressive psychological thriller Damaged!" says Robert Hooks, actor, producer and CEO of Rock Creek Entertainment. Ms. Connor is a ground-breaking author for many reasons, foremost for being the first African American to write and publish a psychological thriller in the fiction genre. She is being compared to Walter Mosley, James Ellroy and Raymond Chandler.

Joseph G. Nazel, Jr., Los Angeles Watts Times Managing Editor says of The Parcel Express Murders, Romance, murder and mystery … cleverly woven into a colorfully intricate tapestry."

The Parcel Express Murders is the second novel to be published by Ms. Connor and it tells the story of psychiatrist, Samoa Tate, who is unknowingly linked to the seemingly unrelated recent string of murders and follows her into a romantic liaison with the detective, Edward Clark, assigned to solving these crimes. Intriguing drama, romance and suspense from beginning to end.

Ms. Connor was born and raised in North Philadelphia and now resides in the Mt. Airy section of the city. In her teens, she embarked on a singing career and was well known on the east coast as an accomplished vocalist. She later became one of the first female communications technicians for AT&T – and, according to her co-workers, performed a mans job with perfectly manicured nails and never a hair out of place!

BEE-CON BOOKS has engaged publicist Audrey Williams, to promote The Parcel Express Murders. Ms. Williams can be reached at 610-650-9335.

Distribution of The Parcel Express Murders is through Baker and Taylor Books and Culture Plus.
