NOAPPP's 2002 Annual Conference

Communities Connecting for Youth: Research, Trends and Innovations in Adolescent Pregnancy, Parenting and Prevention is the theme of the 2002 Annual Conference of the National Organization on Adolescent Pregnancy, Parenting and Prevention, Inc. (NOAPPP) scheduled for November 20-23, 2002 in San Diego, California. Planned and presented in collaboration with the California Alliance Concerned with School Age Parenting and Pregnancy Prevention (CACSAP), the conference will be held at the Town and Country Resort and Convention Center in San Diego.

To realize NOAPPP¡¦s vision of all adolescents making responsible decisions about sexuality, pregnancy and parenting, the community must play a critical and central role. The 2002 NOAPPP Conference will highlight presentations and hands-on workshops that build transferable skills among conference participants who are working to develop strategies for successful community involvement in adolescent parenting and pregnancy prevention, with particular emphasis on:

„h Engaging Parents, Families and Communities
„h Maximizing Potential for the Children of Teen Parents
„h Exploring and Reducing the Impact of Interpersonal Violence
„h Inspiring Responsibility in Young Men
„h Developing and Sustaining Successful State and Local Coalitions
