Application Support
With no complicated setup, users can now enjoy the latest Internet craze such as Internet conferencing and file sharing through such applications as MS NetMeeting, ICQ Chat & file transfer, MSN Messenger, MSN file transfer and more. Users simply select Default Workstation" under the NAT Port Forwarding feature, in order to open up the pre-selected ports thus enabling the interactive online applications. They will then be able to enjoy feature-rich conferencing capabilities such as voice- and video-conferencing, sharing and transferring files.

Management & Security
Multiple user access and LAN manageability is facilitated by the NAT and DHCP server functions, as well as the easy-to-use web-based management interface. Despite its always-on broadband connection, GS-R250S Plus also utilizes NAT (Network Address Translation) as a network security guard by making the private LAN invisible to the hackers from the outside world.

More Enhanced Features
Compared to its predecessor, the GS-R250S Plus now offers PPPoE Auto Dial & Redial, Configuration Recovery, and an Ethernet crossover/straight switch. PPPoE Auto Dial & Redial will provide a true" always-on connection, which means at the event of temporarily losing the DSL PHY link, the router will automatically redial and reconnect to the Internet, without the users awareness that the reconnection is taking place. Therefore, there is always an Internet connection as long as GS-R250S Plus is up and running. The router also features configuration recovery" which will allow users to make a backup copy of the configuration profile prior to changes, and also restores the backup copy in just one click. Users will no longer have to fret over losing any saved configuration or retrieving configurations in the backup copy. In addition, with the Ethernet crossover/straight switch, users can now eliminate the need for an Ethernet cross connector. This will surely add more convenience and less hassle during hardware installation.
