Huntingdon Valley, PA (PRWEB) March 29, 2002 -enabled software, today announced the upcoming Beta release of the eWebManager System, an integrated content management and e-commerce system designed to provide out-of-the-box web site management tools for a content driven web site. The eWebManager System is currently accepting applicants to its upcoming beta test program, scheduled to begin in April, 2002.

The eWebManager System is a fully integrated web management tool, combining content management, e-commerce, customer/membership relationship management, and a host of additional tools to develop and maintain of an organizations high-volume web site. The eWebManager System focuses on two key elements in its design; to provide powerful tools that can be utilized without the need for any HTML knowledge and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, content-driven environment. The eWebManager System comes standard with the eWebManager QuickStart system that provides simple-to-follow instructions and templates that enable someone without any HTML or web design experience to produce a high-quality, content-rich web site in the matter or hours. To learn more about the eWebManager System, you can visit the Guiding Beacon Solutions web site at www.guidingbeacon.com or visit www.FireRescueEMS.com to see a practical application of a web site completely designed and maintained through use of the eWebManager System.

The eWebManager System will be available for purchase in both an Application Service Provider (ASP) version and a stand-alone licensed version. The ASP version, which is to be released for sale in June, is licensed through a monthly rate that includes site hosting in addition to the application usage. The monthly rate for the eWebManager - ASP Version starts at $59 per month and includes 10 GB of bandwidth and 150 MB of disk space on the Guiding Beacon server. In order to meet the more demanding needs of larger organizations, the ASP version will also be available at higher bandwidth and server capacity rates. The stand-alone version is expected to be released in August and retail at $699 for the standard version.

The release of eWebManager is indicative of Guiding Beacon Solutions commitment to developing high-quality, scalable, integrated software that competes with the industrys current high-end producers on functionality and features, but available at a price that is accessible to small and mid-size organizations. Comparable products to eWebManager currently on the market begin at $5,000 or more.

The Beta Testing program is scheduled to last for a period of two month extending through April and May. Participants will be provided with the full Application Service Provider version of the eWebManager System (including hosting) for the beta test period as well as an additional 6 months at no charge. Beta testers will receive priority support service for the testing period as well as discounted rates for continuation of the ASP version in perpetuity.

Beta testers will be asked to provide detailed feedback on the system relative to its functionality and user interface. Beta testers may also be asked to complete periodic surveys on the systems design. GBS will be looking specifically for organizations that represent a variety of industries and will have the opportunity to utilize as many of the systems capabilities as possible within the beta testing time frame.
