Sport Court Partcipates in Kick-Off Press Conference for National P.E. Day
May 1st, Sport Court, Inc. will be providing the athletic surface for a demonstration being held by P.E.4LIFE during National P.E. Day at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
WASHINGTON D.C. (May 1, 2002) – Sport Court, Inc., a leading manufacturer of performance sports surfaces, will provide the athletic surface for demonstrations being held by P.E.4LIFE during the National P.E. Day press conference event on May 1 at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). P.E.4LIFE founder Jim Baugh and Executive Director Anne Flannery will join Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Tommy Thompson in addressing the nation about the importance of physical activity, especially for children who are forming future health habits, and that efforts to promote and increase physical activity should take place in our homes, families, schools and communities. Washington D.C.-area children will demonstrate physical education activities on the 5000 square foot surface provided by Sport Court, Inc.

The press conference event, organized by P.E.4LIFE and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will be taking place at the HSS headquarters and will begin at 1:30 p.m. Secretary Tommy Thompson, Jim Baugh, C.E.O. of Wilson Sporting Goods and Anne Flannery, Executive Director of P.E.4LIFE will be the speakers. A coalition of sporting goods industry executives, celebrities and athletes will also be in attendance, including, Martina Navratilova, Herschel Walker and Olympic gymnast Dominique Dawes, among others.
