NATIONAL FIBER OPTIC ENGINEERS CONFERENCE: TELCORDIA SPONSORS PREMIER EVENT OF THE INDUSTRY

This fiber optic conference is an annual event that is key to staying up to date about technologies in that industry.

LISLE, ILL. - June 10, 2002 - The annual National Fiber Optic Engineers Conference (NFOEC) sponsored by Telcordia will be held September 15-19 in Dallas, representing the premier annual technical event in this industry. As a technical conference and exhibition, NFOEC provides an international platform for exchanging information on fiber optic technologies and services.

This year's event encompasses an abundant agenda including a comprehensive technical program, plenary sessions, a workshop, and even a job fair.

The technical program features 198 technical papers in 48 oral presentation sessions, organized into six parallel tracks on Network Architecture and Control, Network Planning and Deployment, Monitoring and Managing Optical Networks, Optical Transmission Systems, Physical Components and Equipment, and Business Drivers and Strategies.

Over 95 additional technical papers in two poster sessions will span several tracks on Network Design, Analysis, and Management, plus Building, Measuring, and Maintaining the Physical Network.

Six panel discussion sessions will be organized by companies representing a variety of industry viewpoints.

Plenary sessions will provide the opportunity for registrants to listen to major fiber optic telecommunications leaders discuss the challenges facing today's and tomorrow's industry.

The workshop theme is "On the Health and Wealth of the Optical Communications Industry."

The job fair -- a new and exlusive part of the conference this year -- will provide opportunities for job candidates and recruiters in the fiber optic science and engineering community to interact.

An extensive vendor-product exhibit and a program of short courses are also among the offerings.

Various types of registration are available. For details and a complete conference agenda, check the NFOEC feature at www.800teachme.com.
