Wilson, NC- Critical Health Systems of North Carolina (CHSNC) has signed an agreement to provide comprehensive anesthesia and anesthesia management services to Wilson Medical Center effective July 1. Once fully staffed, the new CHSNC Wilson Practice Center will be composed of three anesthesiologists (physicians) and six nurse anesthetists (CRNAs). This includes one physician and two CRNAs who are currently working at Wilson Medical Center who will become members of the CHSNC Wilson Practice Center Anesthesia Care Team.
- Eric Mason, President of CHSNC says, We are looking forward to serving the patients, hospital, and surgeons of the Wilson medical community." He emphasizes that helping anesthesia departments cope with declining reimbursements, the rising costs of providing quality care, and the shortages of anesthesiologists and CRNAs is a crucial part of the mission of CHSNC.
Wilson Medical Center is equally enthusiastic about the partnership. The private, not-for-profit hospital purchased two premier technology systems in 1999, state-of-the-art anesthesia delivery units and electronic clinical information records, to better serve the five-county area surrounding Wilson County. The potential for linking our anesthesia technology with Critical Health Systems of North Carolina will enable us to continue to provide high quality anesthesia services," says Chris Durrer, CEO of Wilson Medical Center. We are pleased to have CHSNC as a partner."
