In Atlanta June 15-18: Meet the Georgia Heroine Who Has Inspired Millions of Girls

Unveiled at the American Library Association Conference in Atlanta June 15-18 will be the new childrens biography Juliette Low, Girl Scout Founder, Volume 4 in the Young Patriots Series offered by Patria Press, Inc.

Theres not one thing I cant do that boys can," declared the young Savannah, Georgia native. Growing up in post-Civil War Georgia, Juliette Daisy" Low preferred stirrups to dance shoes and climbing trees to needle and thread. Her courage and determination to reach beyond the social limitations of her time resulted in the creation of the Girl Scouts, an organization that has influenced the lives of countless numbers of girls for the past 90 years.

The Young Patriots Series of fictional biographies, originally published eighty years ago and now recreated by Patria Press, Inc., gives youngsters a new opportunity to look back at Americas unsung heroes and heroines and discover what they were like as children.

Also appearing at the ALA Conference with Juliette Low will be Young Patriots Series titles Amelia Earhart, Young Air Pioneer; William Henry Harrison, Young Tippecanoe; Lew Wallace, Boy Writer; and James Whitcomb Riley, Young Poet. Call 877-736-7930 toll-free for information, or visit the Patria Press website at www.patriapress.com. The Young Patriots Series are available in hardback ($14.95) and paperback ($9.95) online at amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com and offline at major book retailers.
