Boston University's TrainingTrack Adds Illinois Affiliate To Its National Network; The Training Channel to Offer BU Project Management Programs in the Midwest

The Training Channel will be offering the critical skills/project management programs developed by Boston University and offered through its Corporate Education Center (BUCEC).

TEWKSBURY, Mass.--June 6, 2002--TrainingTrack, Boston University's innovative international training network, today announced the addition of The Training Channel to its select group of network affiliates. The Training Channel will be offering the critical skills/project management programs developed by Boston University and offered through its Corporate Education Center (BUCEC). The Training Channel's senior staff members have been leaders in the IT training and certification industry since 1987.
    "The Training Channel has always been interested in delivering quality certified programs, and Boston University's world-class project management program has a proven record for producing successful, quality outcomes," said Karen Wildblood, President and CEO of The Training Channel. "Offering the Boston University curriculum will give us the ability to reach beyond our usual information technology audience and address the needs of every person within a corporation who needs formal training in leadership skills and project management methodology. We believe the affiliation with TrainingTrack will enable us to serve our clients more fully, and to become the Mid-Western leader in project management training."
    TrainingTrack is building a select network of affiliates based on best-of-breed content. Currently, its network of regional training companies and academic institutions spans 12 states and two international locations. TrainingTrack provides these affiliates with BU programs, products and services that enable them to achieve market leadership through best of breed standards. Boston University's TrainingTrack offerings include: project management seminars and certificate programs, IT programs for career changers, vendor neutral IT seminars and manufacturer authorized education programs. Currently TrainingTrack has affiliates in: New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, Florida, Illinois, North Carolina, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Tennessee and Missouri, nationally, and Canada and the Caribbean internationally.

    Initially, The Training Channel plans to offer day and evening classes for the Boston University Project Management/Critical Skills Programs at its Champaign and Bloomington locations.
