BOOK FACTS:

First published independently in 1995 by the author with an initial printing run of 250 staple-bound copies.

The Second Edition of the book has sold over 10,000 copies (a bestseller in Canada). The majority of the sales are from repeat customers who have bought up to 1000 copies at a time.

The newly published Third Edition contains the latest research into filmmaking terminology and has over 100 new terms, as well as illustrations, photographs and department icons to help visualize the definitions!

Tim Moshansky, the author and publisher of the book, has over 12 years experience in the film industry, and has worked as a P.A., A.L.M., L.M, Cable Puller, Boom Operator, and Grip. He has worked as a Location Scout for the last six years on a variety of features, MOW's, TV Series and commercials. He is currently developing a travel series.

Mr. Moshansky is a freelance writer for several magazines including Mix, Post, Where, Canadian Musician, Professional Sound and The Georgia Straight.
