Announce Fieldbus Training Partnership
Multimedia tutorial materials to be used in FOUNDATION fieldbus training
(BAYTOWN, Texas, May 29, 2002) — Lee College and Hightech Multimedia Tutorials today announced a partnership agreement providing instructional material for FOUNDATION fieldbus training classes at the college's Center for Digital and Fieldbus Technological Education located in Baytown, Texas.
As part of the partnership agreement, Lee College will utilize Hightech Multimedia Tutorials FOUNDATION Fieldbus Concepts tutorial presentation in its Fieldbus Foundation-certified training curriculum for college and industrial students. FOUNDATION Fieldbus Concepts presents introductory and advanced fieldbus training material in an easy-to-understand, self-paced learning and reference guide. Topics include the FOUNDATION fieldbus Physical and User Layers, Communication Stack and Interoperability, as well as an introduction to High-Speed Ethernet (HSE). The tutorial includes hours of multimedia instructional slides and complete text in Adobe® Acrobat® PDF format.
Lee Colleges inaugural FOUNDATION fieldbus student training classes for college credit begin in early June 2002 for the summer semester. Industrial classes begin at the end of July. Available courses include a four-and-a-half day technician/installation class, a two-day engineering design class, a one-day overview class for managers and operators, and a one-day class for sales personnel.
The FOUNDATION Fieldbus Concepts CD-ROM tutorial, which is compatible with Windows® 98/ME/NT4.0/2000/XP, will be provided to all students who take the technician/installation class and the two-day engineering/design class. Special discounts for FOUNDATION Fieldbus Concepts have been arranged for other class participants.
