IDynta Systems, Inc. Introduces Biometric Computer Fingerprint Technology to the Chicago Housing Authority
Biometric fingerprint sensors provided by IDynta Systems, Inc. replace all passwords in a computer network.
Users never enter passwords, so password can't be lost, stolen or forgotten, saving money and resources for companies.
CHICAGO—The Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) has recently begun implementing advanced Biometric fingerprint technology to increase computer network security as well as streamline password control and maintenance for its 500 employees and CHA Property Managers. The technology, developed by BioLink and distributed by IDynta Systems, Inc. allows companies to utilize advanced fingerprint matching and identification to help increase security and reduce costs from the ongoing maintenance and support usually needed for end-users. Instead of distributing passwords that need to be changed every 30 days, employees can log in to their computer network biometrically by using their unique fingerprint. The BioLink U-Match® Mouse, a patented fingerprint scanning methodology, scans the individuals thumbprint, and securely identifies the user to the system while the BioLink Authenteon Server can search and match fingerprint submissions against a large database of authorized users in the network. These identification tools greatly reduce the chance of password theft, along with the time needed to update passwords on a regular basis. The BioLink system also reduces technology help desk calls, thereby lowering staffing and other costs needed to support those calls. We are very excited about the BioLink security system," said Walter Smith, Chief Information Officer at the CHA. Security is extremely important to us and our employees are using the system to access all of their computer applications. This is an important first step towards implementing greater security throughout CHAs corporate and property management offices." About IDynta Systems, Inc.
