New York City Homicide Captain comes to believe he is the serial murderer his department has been seeking.

A serial murderer has New York City terrified. He tortures, rapes, and kills beautiful young women. Captain Richard Markham has blackouts and suffers with visions of a woman murdered in a similar fashion. He decides to turn himself in but his friend and physiatrist insists that he is not a killer and although he suffers from a multiply personality syndrome he is not responsible for the deaths of these women. Still, this highly decorated captain cannot be convinced.

The effects of a tortured and abusive childhood can wreck havoc on the psyche of an adult causing strange manifestations," says Gene Ligotti, author of Suppressed.

Suspense mounts as the police get closer to the truth. A white carnation, left on the body of each victim, appears to be the only clue. The main thrust of this mystery novel is the relationship between a father and his daughter. The Captains estranged daughter, Niki, knows that something is not right with her father and seeks to determine his involvement in these murders. Will she be the next victim? This intriguing psychoanalytical novel will keep you guessing through its many twists and turns until the dynamic suspense filled ending.

Gene Ligotti is the author of The Third Woman, a mystery novel very well received by fans of the mystery intrigue. Ligotti is also the author of a trilogy of novels of interesting characters of the American Revolution. The Youngest Patriot, Swamp Fox, and Dark Eagle.
