Lotus and Cybozu Inc. Form Alliance in the Groupware Application Market in Japan
Leading Japanese Groupware companies aim to increase customer satisfaction by launching affiliated products
TOKYO, Japan (PRWEB) June 22, 2002 - Lotus Development Japan, Ltd. iTokyo, Japan - President Makoto Yasudaj and Cybozu, Inc. (Tokyo, Japan - CEO & President, Toru Takasuka) agreed to collaborate in the Japanese Groupware Applications market. This collaboration agreement aims to increase customer satisfaction by providing affiliate collaboration products. This alliance will provide an easier scheduling application for current Lotus Notesf customers and increased customization capabilities for current Cybozu customers.
As a first step in this alliance, Cybozufs Scheduler application for enterprise, part of Cybozu Garoon, with be will be designed to integrate with Lotus Notes / Domino 6. Lotus Notes users will be able to take advantage of Cybozufs Scheduler application, which was designed for the Japanese users. In addition, The Lotus users will be able to browse information from Lotus Domino 6 business applications on the Cybozu Garoon portal page and import selected data from Lotus Domino 6 to Cybozu Garoon. Cybozu will launch Cybozu Garoon with the Lotus integration features at the same time as the Lotus Notes/Domino 6 launch, and the companies will promote the products together. In the future, the two companies plan to provide the Lotus/Domino 6 based CRM application to Cybozu users. This alliance will provide a customizable CRM solution for userfs needs.
Cybozu has joined the gNotes Revitalizes Japan Againh committee. This committee was launched in February 2002 in order to revitalize companiesf usage of Notes/Domino. Currently, 11 business partners are members. Lotus and Cybozu are working with the members to increase customer satisfaction in introducing Groupware through product alignment or co-promotion.
