VG Airlines Takes To The Skies New Airline Flies from U.S. to Belgium and Promises Business Travelers High Quality and Exceptional Value

VG Airlines announces its service from JFK, BOS and LAX to Brussels. Promises exceptional Business Class fares to Europe.

NEW YORK/BOSTON/LOS ANGELES: June 20, 2002 – Aviation veteran Freddy Van Gaever and financier Tony Gram have announced the launch of VG Airlines flying non-stop to Brussels from New Yorks Kennedy Airport, Bostons Logan Airport and Californias LAX. VG Airlines intends to become the business travelers choice to Europe with its exceptional fares and high-quality inflight and ground service.

VG Airlines began flying from New Yorks JFK Airport on May 23rd; flights from Bostons Logan Airport start June 20th and flights from LAX will begin June 30th.

VG Airlines offers Business Class and Economy Class travelers a choice of one-way or roundtrip fares to Brussels. Business Class fares from JFK and BOS are $1,200 one-way and $2,200 roundtrip, while Business Class fares from LAX will be $1,700 one-way and $3,200 roundtrip. Economy Class fares are $450 one-way from JFK and BOS and $600 from LAX, while roundtrip fares from JFK and BOS are $500 and $750 from LAX.

The airlines mission is to provide a point-to-point, first-rate flying experience for business and economy travelers to Europe at reasonable prices while providing them with ‘refreshing inflight service and a high-quality ground experience,” says Freddy Van Gaever.

Business travelers will be treated to an exceptional dining experience featuring fine foods such as lobster, salmon and filet mignon as well as French wines, an assortment of Belgian beer, and fine Belgian chocolates. Economy travelers enjoy hot soup, a choice of freshly prepared baguettes or salad, and desserts including Elizabeth Cake and Cheese Soufflé Tart.

While not a replacement for Sabena Airlines, the former national carrier for Belgium, VG Airlines has acquired many of the airlines top ground and flight crews and technical staff. VG Airlines has also acquired several of their young Airbus A330-200 planes, thus commencing service with professional and experienced crews and nearly new aircraft. With an average age of 1.6 years, VG Airlines fleet has cabins that accommodate 42 Business Class seats with a superior 62” pitch and 160˚ seat back recline, and 187 Economy Class seats with a comfortable 32” pitch. All seats are equipped with integrated entertainment systems.

Reservations can be made through the companys website at www.flyvg.com, through their call center at 800-536-5984 or through a travel agent. Travelers can also participate in the VG Airlines sweepstakes to win a free trip for two to Belgium by visiting the website.
