NCast Unveils An Industry First, True SVGA Graphics for Interactive Presentation at Collaborate East 2002
SUNNYVALE, CA, June 24, 2002 -- NCast Corporation, innovator of n-way technology for delivering scalable, interactive presentations over IP networks, unveiled the integrated high-resolution True SVGA Graphics for Telepresenter M2 at Collaborate Conference and Expo East in Boston, MA, June 25-27, 2002.
The new graphics solution is an industry first for interactive collaboration over IP networks. The graphics solution allows users to easily collaborate and share slides, documents, spreadsheets or graphics, along with audio and video transmission using a unique channelized multicast technology that utilizes a fraction of bandwidth traditionally seen with graphics distribution,” said Dr. Hank Magnuski, Co-founder and CEO of NCast.
The Telepresenter M2 True SVGA Graphics captures and displays any graphics output from a laptop or PC. The solution is integrated within the Telepresenter M2, and therefore, does not require additional equipment. For the first time in the industry, presenters can show audio, video and graphics within a self-contained platform to an unlimited number of remote participants. Documents, spreadsheets, slides, digital photos, images, CAD-drawings and application software can be seen on an attached SVGA monitor, which maximizes resolution. The True SVGA Graphics feature is capable of handling numerous resolution settings up to 1024x768 and many graphic types, high-resolution photos and images as normally seen on a desktop computer monitor.
Users simply attach a laptop to the Telepresenter M2 and press a button to collaborate with remote sites, sharing any type of high resolution graphics with simultaneous audio and video. There has never been an easier way to present high resolution graphics with remote sites over IP networks,” said Jeanne Schmitt, Co-founder and VP of Marketing.
Telepresenter M2 provides MPEG 1, 2 and H.261 video and audio with managed floor control and interaction between sites, allowing the presenter and participants to see, be seen, hear, and be heard by each other. Now with graphics, collaborative presentations are crisp and clear, allowing users to see the finest level of detail.
Collaborate Conference and Expo is the worlds premiere showcase for collaborative tools that enable organizations to increase profitability, enhance performance and accelerate productivity. NCast Telepresenter M2 with True SVGA Graphics technology is available to select customers and will be exhibited at booth #2802 on the show floor June 25-27, 2002 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston, MA. Co-founder and CEO of NCast, Dr. Hank Magnuski, will discuss the new face of multicast technology benefiting collaboration and video communication in enterprise networks today. The presentation, Recasting Multicast” is at 1:00pm on June 27, 2002.
