LicenseMusic.com relaunches with Charly Acquisitions

LicenseMusic.com, the web's leading provider of music for film, TV, advertising and interactive media, will relaunch in the fall of 2002 following the acquisition of its assets by Charly Acquisitions Ltd

Licensemusic.com, the innovative San Francisco based online music licensing service which closed earlier this year, is set to be re-launched following the purchase of its assets under Chapter 7 by music rights aggregators Charly Acquisitions Limited.

Licensemusic.com provided over 50,000 down-loadable, pre-cleared music tracks to some 4000 professional users in the motion picture, television, advertising, interactive and audio-visual industries worldwide, with content supplied by more than 200 associated record labels, music publishers and production music libraries.

Since the early 70's, Charly has built a major proprietary catalogue that includes the output of many foremost independent record labels, producers and major recording artists in all music genres.

Planned to launch in October 2002, Licensemusic.com, in addition to instantly licensable repertoire will offer over 100,000 original major artist masters and over 10,000 hit recordings from the Charly catalogue for on-line licensing, expanding the customer base to include record company users.
