---- NEW OUTDOOR COOKING TELEVISION SHOW
SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 2002 LAUNCH ON RFD-TV ---

Marble Hill, MO - May 22, 2002 -- Campfire Cafe with chef Johnny Nix is a one-hour cooking show featuring recipes prepared over an open fire. EMG Productions announces the premiere of a new, weekly television show in the equestrian programming block on RFD-TV Network. The format of the show will include preparing and cooking a variety of recipes for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. Johnny Nix has been an avid campfire cook for over 20 years and has appeared on other RFD-TV programs, including Ride With The Stars(tm) and Downunder Horsemanship TV.

Cooking outdoors over a campfire requires more knowledge and expertise than cooking on a backyard barbecue grill. Chef Johnny Nix will prepare dishes of surprising complexity - from "No Bull Prime Rib" to "Bodacious Baked Pears" - that are not typical campground fare. A blacksmith by trade, Alabama native Johnny Nix prepares his recipes using his own, unique hand-forged Cowboy Cookware, specifically designed for cooking with heavy cast iron Dutch ovens, pots, pans, grills and griddles.

The Campfire Cafe chef will be camping with horses during filming, so the show will also feature brief segments related to issues faced when camping and traveling with horses. This unique aspect of the show will offer viewers the opportunity to learn more about horses, as well as products and equipment designed to make horse ownership and travel more convenient and safe.

The initial 13-week series will be filmed at the Sam A. Baker State Park in Patterson, Missouri. This state park features a new equestrian campground with special amenities designed to make camping with horses safe and enjoyable. The show will include campsites and trailrides in the beautiful Missouri Ozark Mountains.

RFD-TV is a non-profit, PBS format network broadcast on DISH Network(tm) channel 9409, and DirecTV(tm) channel 379, to a viewing audience of over 17 million households nationwide. RFD-TV is the first 24-hour, direct broadcast television network dedicated to serving the needs and interests of rural America. Plans are also being made to broadcast 1/2-hour episodes of Campfire Cafe on other commercial networks in the future.

For more information, or to schedule interviews with Chef Johnny Nix, please call EMG Productions at (800) 556 0414.
