"This will enable customers to deploy Any2XML widely at data integration points across the enterprise" said Ranga Nathan, the president of Reliance Technology.
Any2XML converts any text intelligently to XML, database, spreadsheet, and more.
Reliance Technology released version 1.0 of Any2XML Developer Edition, its flagship product designed to help users and developers convert from any text to XML, given a set of transformation rules in an XML template.
"Reliance is aiming at the niche in the ETL and Web-publishing arena. There is a great need to convert oodles of legacy data to XML to enable markup and manipulation. Thousands of IT shops are looking for an inexpensive way to publish their legacy data in a user-friendly way on the Web to save cost and time in distributing reports", says Ranga Nathan, the president and CEO of Reliance.
Since its debut, XML has been widely adopted as the vehicle for information interchange and has become the backbone of e-commerce, B2B, B2C, and G2B efforts. Leading industry, commerce, banking, and government institutions have announced XML schemas to handle exchange of data. Products to process XML are being announced regularly at an ever-increasing rate. "XML is nicknamed "EDI on steroids"," said Ranga Nathan.
"There are many respectable products that will let you go from XML to anywhere. There are only a few that will let you translate text into XML, that too only fixed format text. Any2XML is the only one we know that will let you translate any unformatted text using well-proven, pattern-matching technology, to XML, database, spreadsheet, XHTML, ... in fact, any format you like", Ranga Nathan added.
Any2XML is available as a back-end engine as well as a front-end application delivered via the Web. The front-end part allows users and developers to quickly set up document-centric applications. It is currently delivered on Linux/FreeBSD/Unix platforms.
"When we were asked to extract statistics from a database shutdown report, we turned to Any2XML," added Ranga Nathan. "We had a template ready in 3 days to parse the report and built time-series data for the last 3 months within the week. We were then able to selectively download data to spreadsheets, chart and analyze the results."
Any2XML is available for an obligation-free trial. More information is available at http://goreliance.com/products/any2xml/
