Wilton, Conn., June 28, 2002- Having worked with John Entwistle and his John Entwistle Band on the release and promotion of the 1999 CD, Left For Live, J-Bird Records would like to express its condolences to the friends, family and fans of the legend known as the Ox, who passed away due to a heart attack on Thursday.
I had the honor of accompanying John and his band to Woodstock 99 and several memorable trips to radio stations for interviews," comments Asa L. Fish, Promotions Director for J-Bird. This is a great loss for the music community in general and specifically for those that were close to John, like his drummer and friend Steve Luongo and Steves wife Laurie. I feel badly for them. I am honored that I did have the opportunity to spend some time with this genuinely humble and quite humorous man."
John Entwistle was 57 years old.
