AT&T Lends A Helping Hand To Those Impacted By Arizona Wildfires
AT&T Makes $50,000 Contribution to American Red Cross
PHOENIX, Arizona -- Showing support for a state ravaged by fires, AT&T announced today it will contribute $50,000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to help trained Red Cross disaster workers provide food, shelter, emotional assistance and basic supplies to individuals and families around the state impacted by the fires.
In addition, the company will provide 1,000 AT&T Prepaid Phone Cards to the Red Cross to help displaced families keep in touch with loved ones. In order to encourage contributions from employees and retirees, the company has announced it will match donations of $25 or more up to an additional $10,000.
AT&T and its employees have a long-standing tradition of assisting communities during natural disasters," said Ken McNeely, AT&T president, Pacific Region. We know recovery from this fire will require significant resources, and AT&T wants to do its part for Arizona and the communities where we live and work."
