Seaweed Systems, Inc. and EmbVUE, Inc. Announce the signature of a strategic Joint Marketing Agreement to collaborate in the development of certifiable 3D embedded solutions for the Aerospace and Defense market
Seaweed Systems and EmbVUE sign key agreement allowing the companies to fully cooperate on products and marketing targeted at the emerging 3D avionics market.
Farnborough, England – July 24, 2002 – Seaweed Systems, Inc., a leading developer and supplier of OpenGL® and X Window System embedded graphics driver products and EmbVUE, Inc., an emerging leader in the embedded 3D avionics market, announced at the Farnborough International Air Show 2002 that they have become key partners in the development and marketing of certifiable 3D embedded solutions. These solutions are targeted specifically at the synthetic and enhanced vision markets at a time when avionics developers are searching for new ways to include such functionality in TAWS products to reduce CFIT-related incidents. As part of the Joint Marketing Agreement, Seaweed Systems, Inc. and EmbVUE, Inc. are delivering small-footprint, embeddable, COTS software products based upon a certifiable 3D OpenGL® subset to render real-time 3D terrain.
EmbVUEs products are hitting the market at exactly the right time. By combining the power of our certifiable OpenGL® subset API and the graphics rendering performance of the latest OpenGL® COTS hardware, EmbVUE has been able to develop a breakthrough 3D terrain renderer aimed specifically at the embedded avionics market." said Phil Cole, Vice President Sales and Marketing, Seaweed Systems. The interest that has been shown in this technology is overwhelming and I have no doubt that this will continue to be a very key market for us as we go forward."
By combining the strength of Seaweeds premier 3D OpenGL® subset API and our embedded 3D graphics expertise we have been able to bring to the marketplace a solution set to address todays CFIT issues and provide much-needed, 3D cockpit display functionality." said Gary Greisman, Vice President of EmbVUE, Inc. Our embedded terrain renderer provides avionics developers with a real-time engine to support their 3D synthetic and enhanced vision products."
This technology is being demonstrated at the Ultra Electronics stand Hall 4 F 11.
