"Walk Back in Time" A BRAND NEW EVENT FOR MID MISSOURI!

The Audrain County Historical Society(non profit)will do a 4 part living history chronology, with reenactors, last wk end in Sep.:1880s cowboys/1860s Civ War/1830s Fur Traders/Nativa American plus candlelight tour, w music, Sat 28th.

The Audrain County Historical Society, at 501 Muldrow, Mexico, Mo 65265, proudly presents on Sept. 27-29 '02, a new addition to the annual Country Fair - our educational and fun-loving event: "A Walk Back in Time" This four part living history experience will take you BACK through American history: 1st, an 1880s cowboy camp/2nd, an 1860s Civil War camp/3rd, an 1830s Fur Traders camp/4, Native America. Each camp will greet you with historical interpreters, demonstrators, period musicians and the cowboys will have theire poetic tales of the wild west.
Browse for period goods in all four camps. Special school visitation day on Fri(schools call us); 9am Sat American history parade: events all day Sat & Sun(kids' games, attic treasures, wagon rides, song & dance).
Don't miss our very elaborate Sat nite program consisting of tours of Graceland pre-Civil War mansion, 6:30pm-9:30pm. You'll meet U.S.Grant and you'll enjoy a candlelight tour of the four historical camps with LOTS of period music!! You just can't miss this so bring family and friends.
After our 11am Sun old-time chapel service, stick around for a box lunch plus many more activities all afternoon.
