Multimedia Messaging for Everybody – MixMobile Launches MMS Services and Software

MixMobile launched today multimedia support for the Anyx mobile system. Now MMS-messaging is within anybodys reach: it is affordable and available to anybody regardless of the operator they are using. MixMobile operates now in Finland an operator-independent messaging system and the Anyx MMS Server is also available as a separate product for service providers.

Vantaa, Finland Sep 25, 2002. MixMobile Oy, a Finnish software company, today announced that it has added full MMS-support to the Anyx product family with the new product release. Anyx MMS Server is a full featured multimedia messaging solution, which enables service providers to start quickly a MMS business. Anyx MMS Server demystifies MMS, a single server produces all needed network functionality. It enables affordable multimedia messaging, for example using the new MixMobile MMS-service, the price of a phone-to-phone MMS-message is less than half of the current price level and messages send from phone to the service are free of charge.

The www.mixmobile.com site includes set of services for creating and managing MMS-messages, sending them to phone, service for receiving and storing MMS-messages from phone, making the site an ideal companion for a camera equipped MMS-phone. The sending of MMS-messages is also possible without MMS-capable phone.

The launched service suits exceptionally well for heavy SMS-users: A single Anyx MMS-message can include text as much as at least 150 normal SMS-messages with the price of less than three normal operator SMS-messages. In practice this means the sending of 10 A4 pages full of text with 25 cents.
