Flyers & Phantoms Are Serving Up Some Charitable Appearances

Flyers Chris Therien, Todd Fedoruk, John LeClair, Justin Williams - along with Phantoms players and Comcast personalities will be the bartenders at this fundraising event. All tips made by the players will be donated to the ALS Hope Foundation, and will be matched by LaBatt's Blue. Come out and meet your favorite Flyers and Phantoms and get their autographs for $5 (also donated to the ALS Hope Foundation!) Come drink, have a good time and meet some great athletes... all to promote research on ALS!

On Tuesday evening, January 14, 2003, some of the Philadelphia Flyers and Phantoms will be stepping in as bartenders at the Main Street Pub in Voorhees, NJ. This celebrity bartending event, titled Athletes for ALS" will benefit the ALS Hope Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to funding research towards the cause and cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrigs Disease.
   Flyer Chris Therien lost his mother-in-law to ALS several years ago, and has been quoted in a magazine stating that the ALS Hope Foundation is his favorite charity. Chris wife Diana sits on the board of directors for the ALS Hope Foundation, and has been the backbone in the planning of this event.
   Participating in this event will be Flyers Todd Fedoruk, Jeremy Roenick,, and John LeClair. They will also be joined by some of their junior team members from the Phantoms. All tips made by the guest bartenders will be donated to the ALS Hope Foundation, so drink up and TIP BIG!
   
   The event will begin at 8 p.m. and end at midnight. Cost is $5 per attendee. The Main Street Pub is located at 2011 Main Street in Voorhees, NJ.
